Maybe everyone noticed, but didn’t want to mention it. It was a bit cryptic, but given the context, one could put two-and-two together. Like she said, nothing to be ashamed of. Women tend to be a bit more insightful.

This forum is filled with other celibate and single people who would have trouble answering your question in a meaningful way, like alllivesmatter pointed out. Perhaps Requests for Christian Advice would be a good place to try. You might have to be a little more blunt if you go there though.

It took me a minute, but I've had similar thoughts ("if marriage is a good thing, but I can't have it, then is it really a good thing? How can I say marriage isn't for me if I've never even tried dating?"). I just wasn't brave enough to suggest it, & didn't want to put words in his mouth.
