How can I know if this is truly from God?

it seems there is more information that some of us don't see. I only read the OP and this thread, and I seem to be missing some pieces of what is going on.

I encourage you to read the Bible, especially in New Testament for starters, that is good advice for all christians, every day.

we do have to be careful about asking God for things, if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart, and He knows what we want without us even having to ask (but I believe He still appreciates hearing from us too)

My parents do not need to be shown how to live the Christian life. You don't even know me, my friend. Do you know anything about me? I know not where you are getting all these random puzzle pieces that don't exist and placing them together. My parents would not openly accuse someone of wrong like you are doing now; perhaps their faith and their heeding of God's word is more adept than yours? Perhaps they are..."better" Christians than you? Do you realize what you are saying to me? You are basically telling me that you're a much better Christian than me and my whole family, but that doesn't sound like a very Christian thing to do. It's true I went through some issues with a girl named Nancy, mostly which was my fault, but I feel that God used that to make me find refuge in Him and become stronger. There is a purpose to everything, even your innane posts I suppose. What I went through with Nancy was a year of torment and pain, and it is not your place to bring this up. Whenever I hear her name, I am burdened with pain and memories. You also tell me that I should remain sexually abstinent at the age of fourteen. Well, did I ever once imply that I had plans to have sex with Janelle? If I ever have a relationship with her, I plan to have a very special relationship centered on God, not sexual desires. I see Janelle as a chance for new beginnings, a way to let the memories of Nancy wither and die. I see her as a blessing from God, a new day, a chance to start over. I have promised myself through and through that I will not let what happened with Nancy happen with Janelle. As for my family, my family is blessed time and time again. My family is very special. My mother told me that when I was born God conveyed to her that I would be a leader in the End Times. And I feel that those times are near. That is irrelevant, however. Just stop, Stafy. You have no reason to do what you are doing.

Wow!!!!

Dear Ryukil i've chesked your background. I know you don't want to hear this but, you need proffesssional help.
You didn't like what I replied so you changed the post in order to get, simpathy replies. ie you have now changed the name of the boy she was involved with.
I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, but there are serious physicological issues going on here which are more than likely spiritual also. And that tells me you have low self estem issues, not mention the serious lust issue and a few others. This may steem from the teasing you have taken, but my guess is, you where not teased by people for you wieght issue and I suspect you may not even have a wieght issue.

It's dangerous to diagnose someone whom you don't know in real life. Is this said in christian love? Are you a professional trained in the field of psychology or psychiatry? If someone rejects your advice it does not mean that something is wrong with that person.

It's all a covering for you to live in a fantasy world that you have created in your own head. And this pionts to some where in your family, someone, who you claim is a christains but this is not the case. Either in a current generation or a past generation someone has messed with the wrong spirit. And or you have dabbled.
I'm sorry but you just don't get as far out of control as you are while being a good christian, there is something going on here that either you don't know about or your not telling.

In caption:: there is a lot more to this than what your willing to admit.

You are going to continue to suffer and cause yourself much harm because your not willing to accept you have a problem, a very serious problem. I reply this for your own benfit, and I fear that the only thing that will wake you up, is serious spiritual interssion from others in order to set you free.

But others here have said the same thing gathering, from reading your previous posts. I'm only being direct about what others have already replied.
You have a desire of seeking only the answers that you want to hear and this blinds you from the truth that would set you free so you will remain in bondage and there is nothing anyone can do for you, until you admit your problem and bring it out into the light of our lord or until Christ sets you free. Love in the lord Jesus Christ.

I can also basically prove this is not of the lord.
The bible say's : seek first my kingdom and it's rightousness and all these things will be added unto you, eating, drinking, clothes;;; nothing here about girls; ref, Mathew 6:33
No one can decide if you need professional help here.

Hello ladies and gentlemen

I've read through this thread and it seems that things were bit misunderstood. Please keep in mind that this is a messageboard and as such professional counseling or advice is not a good idea. The OP has explained himself and has said that things have been a bit misunderstood. He would like get back to the discussion at hand.

Please be courteous of other peoples feelings here and respectful at all times. This is what the Lord commands of us.

I've quoted the OP below for you all to start discussions again. Thank you!

God bless ~ Tracie :)

"If you continue to follow me and do not stray from the path of righteousness, I will one day give her to you. But be aware that there will be many before you."

I heard this in my head one day when I was praying to God about a situation with a girl I have deep feelings for named Janelle. I am not sure whether it was really from God or it was just my own thoughts. How can I know?

This dream may seem unrelated to God, but this occured shortly after I asked Him for some confirmation of what was said to me. I was in a very large house, perhaps a mansion, and walking around looking for Janelle. I came to a window, and directly outside of it was a swing set. Janelle's friends Stephanie, Emily, and Kristen were on them, but she was not (The three friends and I had been fighting over some issues concerning Janelle for quite a while, and that is only just settling down now, weeks later). Finally, I heard Janelle talking with a little girl (about two days ago, weeks after the dream, I met a little girl at the church who reminded me of her for the first time named Shinade) about me and another boy named Josh. Janelle said she liked both me and Josh. The little girl said,"So why don't you just kiss both of them?" Janelle replied,"I just can't." They were both on a little balcony overlooking a staircase, and while they were talking I had begun to make my way up the stairs. Janelle saw me and blushed. I just turned around and started to walk down the stairs like nothing had happened. She looked at me and said,"Peter, we need to talk." I walked up the stairs and began talking with her a bit, though I don't remember what was said. Josh came up from behind us and made a joke about something, not knowing what Janelle and I were talking about. I stuck out my hand so he could shake it, and I said,"Josh. We need to talk. I don't want this to come between us."
That was the end of the dream. A few days after that I found out that Janelle liked Josh. I had guessed at it already, but it was finally confirmed by my friend. A few days ago the youth group went camping (that's when I met Shinade) and I spoke with Janelle a bit. The whole time she was resting her head on Dan, a sixteen year old from another church. She was all over him...So that's two guys, which doesn't really come to many...
If anyone could interpret this dream for me, I would be grateful.

I agree with the others that said not to put your entire life into this one situation.
If you don't get this girl you could be setting yourself up for a huge dissapointment and quite possible anger at and even giving up on God.

I feel that you are too young to be feeling like this is the only girl for you. God may have a few in line for you to learn different things from (and I don't mean sexual things)

In focusing all your strength into this one girl, you may be missing out on other things God might have planned for your life.

You should have an outlook like... "if God puts me together with this girl, that would be great. But if he wants me with someone else then that's great too"

God's will, will be done. Don't try to help him. He doesn't need your help, just your trust.

I ask that all who read this pray for me, that what God wants me to do would be revealed to me soon. I just saw Janelle a few hours ago at church; we were sitting in the pews. On my right side was my friend Timothy, and on his right side was Janelle. She made some comment to him and he mimicked her in a nazily, girly tone. I gave him a little push, and he pushed me back. She looked at me and said,"That's okay, I don't need anyone to stick up for me. I never do." She said it in a really nasty tone, and it hurt me. Apparently that was noticeable, according to Timothy. She did keep floating around me however; for example, when we were doing a scavenger hunt sort of thing we had to find a book by a specific author. I was in the church library with a member of my team looking for the book. She was on the other team and so she came in looking for it as well. She was standing over me, practically breathing down my neck, so I instinctively moved a bit to the side. Whenever I moved, she moved a little bit more to fill up the space between us. Then she said in a quiet voice, so only I could hear,"It's really hot in here." I responded with a hasty and nervous,"Yeah, I know," and then she left the room. Also, after Bible study, she always stood close to me and gave me a wierd look, like she was expecting me to say something to her. I didn't, but a few minutes later I kinda let a undoubtedly dumb looking, infatuated smirk rest on my face and I kept looking at her. She looked at me with curious, maybe even confused eyes. That was the last I saw of her. Anyhow, I'm debating what to do. I either will let it go and find someone else, or I will get to know her and become friends with her and eventually (in a few years) ask her out. Jesus, I pray that you would show either myself or someone else on these forums what I am supposed to do next with your daughter. Amen.

I have been having stuff told to me about a girl lately, but I don't even know her. I didn't desire her. I didn't think anything of her, and then, I had a dream. And then, her heart was revealed to me, and then confirmed exactly on target to what was revealed to me in Proverbs 31:10-31. I've had other stuff to me. People have told me that it was nothing, but I just pray that God's will be done, not mine. When school starts up again, I have prayed that if it God's will for me to be with her, then give me classes with her, if not, then I want none. Also, I wouldn't be with her until she completely gave her life to the Lord. Just pray what I prayed, for God's will to be done and not yours.

Even if what you heard in the first post was not of God, it is of God that you walk the path of righteousness, so do that, and stay on it, and if something happens, then okay.
