I have been dealing with evil spirits and I have found that the best way to keep them away is to have christian mirth and joy.

Evil spirits are good at trickery, and for that to bounce off of us we need to have a positive mindset. And in order to not to have a shallowly positive mindset, we need that christian joy that is serious and doesn't mean a flight from the truth.

For example, sometimes when I am weak at something I have sometimes heard a weird kind of laughter. I was never able to find the source of that laughter, it doesn't sound like human laughter. It seems wicked, cynical and evil. It is pretty hard for me to stay composed and not get into all kinds of bad thinking. I always feel like this laughter invalidates all of me and that I am not a real child of God. But this must be resisted. A child of God does not need to fear the devil. It's frustrating that we can't attack the devil and make him pay for his manipulations, but I guess that would not be good for us too as we have to be harmless people as christians. So we must practice humility combined with some shrewdness. From humility I know I must simply walk the christian walk even when it's difficult, without complaining, and from shrewdness I know that the devil is only a big faker who hides his real self that knows that the devil is doomed and cannot escape his fate.

But check yourself whether you think too much of that kind of thing. It's not good to be too interested in it. Never forget about living your life. It has a value, even everyday life that seems so mundane to many, has its sacredness. God will help you see it. Every day is blessed.

Scripture says we are to resist the devil and he will flee. The way to do this is to be sure we are reading scriptures every day and praying every day. If anything pops into your head that doesn't "sound" godly you check it against scriptures. If it is found to be against scriptures it is not from God and needs to be rebuked. "resisted". Use scripture to resist it. "It is written, you shall not steal" for example. Say it as often as you need until satan flees.

All of the above.
I find it effective to use scriptures, and speak them out loud:

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:13-14http://www.battlefocused.org/copyright.php#NKJV

The battle is the LORD's. 1 Samuel 17:47

They cried, "The sword of the LORD and of Gideon!" And every man stood in his place all around... (read
Judges 7)

...who through faith subdued kingdoms... became valiant in battle.
Hebrews 11:33-34

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8-9

The armor of God passage in Ephesians 6:10-20

What the devil and his subordinates want is to get you off track, distract you, make you afraid of them so much that you're not paying as much attention to God. Don't give them that. Start praising God, and continue to praise him if they try to disrupt. They won't stay long.

I've had the laugher before, it is scary, it sends chills up my spines, freaks me out. it's usually if i'm doing something i'm not suppose to.

also, i've heard the voices( i don't hear voices regularly) but i started exercising, and they said "c**P he's working out uggh" i just kept on with my exercise because that was making them angry and go away. they don't like us when we do things for good.

also, i don't think (besides angels) there are any good "spirits" because in the bible it says it is appointed to man once to die and after that is the judgement, not after that is float around on earth.

so any "spirits" we come across unless an angel(which wuold confess Jesus Christ) is a demon. so that's my opinion as far as I've been educated on it.

anyone beg to differ?

anytime you feel anything demonic around you or tempting you or you can "sense" something there rebuke it away in the name of Jesus Christ and it has to leave...plead the blood of Christ over your home....Father God I plead your blood over myself from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet and over my home etc...Then bind up and rebuke any demonic spirits out of your environment, home atmosphere etc

Good advice posted. Also, I would forgive anyone I needed to. I found it took me a long time to get where I would ask Yahweh to bless them and really mean it. I had to ask Yahweh to help me because I had to have His help to forgive. Plus I continue to work on forgiving - I've been surprised at how easily I'm offended sometimes.
