You could try posts to set up what we in 18 Southport Evangelical Churches Together, Merseyside have: regular weekly jams & occasional "Battle of the Bands"
I'll post details of our mid March "Hektik" - (@ the biggest, most central "touristy" church) - in @ 2 weeks

How do you find musicians in your local area? Pray alot. It's tough to find any Christian Musicians. It's even harder to find good ones and even tougher to find folks who are good Christians AND good musicians who are into what you want to do. It's such a temptation to give in and go secular. Pray man, pray. That and trust the Lord is the best advice. The Lord will bring you musicians in His time. It's hard to wait and pray but that's the only way that works. Ask around your own church. Ask some friends at other churches. Put an ad in the local Christian book store. Put an ad in the secular music store and thrifty nickel ect ect ect.

Hey, if you are around Manchester, NH at all, you can check out Daddy's Junky Music. They have 1 or 2 nights a week where it's a meet and greet type of deal. I believe it's on south willow st, same st the mall of nh is on. You might not find many christian musicians, but then again, you might find 1 person and get hooked right up. Worth a shot. Pray about it before you go definately and I'm sure with constant prayer and searching you'll find someone. I'm in Maine myself.
