Well... I don't know the name of it but I have this disease... it is like a bacteria that grows on your skin. It is sort of like a rash except it doesn't go away. It is slowly growing throughout my whole body. They say that soon it will eat the skin off of my fingernails and my fingernails will fall off. The doctors say that there is no cure for this, the only thing you can do is make it look a little bit better. Well, i'm getting tired of having this disease and I know that no medicine can cure it... I've been prayed for before but it still didn't go away. I don't know what to do... I was hoping that you guys may be able to help me.

God's Rx for Divine Health

Proverbs 4:20-24
"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee."

Hebrew for health in this Rx is "marpe'":
1) health, healing, cure

a) healing, cure
b) health, profit, sound (of mind) c) healing

Hebrew for flesh in this Rx is "basar":

1) flesh
a) of the body
1) of humans
2) of animals b) the body itself

I would highly recomment you not read any of the threads in this forum on the subject. They will have you thinking you are supposed to not only be sick, but that God did it to you and you are supposed to shut up and die. Death = healing????

God is good and wants you 100% saved from every evil that comes against you. Jesus came that you might have life and that abundantly. Jesus healed everyone who came to Him and that is a revelation of the will of God for you personally. You must come to Him full of the assurance that God wills for you to be well. He wants you healed!

I'm a little puzzled that the doctors didn't give you a name for this disease and yet know the exact course that it will follow.

Could you tell us a little of what you have come to believe concerning healing. Are you a new Christian?

Well... recently I decided to fully devote myself, like maybe 4 months ago. I used to be just an on and off christian if you know what I mean. I always thought that you were supposed to be healed infront of a crowd so that many would beleive that the healing power is real.

God heals quietly, publicly, instantly....many ways! :)

Just make sure to give Him the glory!

First, log off this forum IMMEDIATELY. Or at least run in the opposite direction from the "healing" threads. Seriously.

I would highly reccomend going through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and underlining in red every instance where Jesus healed someone. Then, I would reread them and underline in blue every instance where Jesus refused someone healing. This may sound silly, but this was one of the key things I did when I helped my wife with her lifelong asthma problem which she no longer has. This will help solidify that God's will IS healing. The reason I used red ink is to signify the blood of Jesus. Now, everytime I open my Bible to the Gospels, I see red lines ALL over the pages, reminding me that the blood of Jesus has washed away my sins and diseases.

Then, when you've done all to stand, stand therefore. Don't waiver. Don't doubt. It may be hard at times, but fight the good fight of faith. Never concede victory. Persevere. Don't quit. Overcome. Even in the darkest hours when it seems there is no hope, praise God for His goodness and mercy.

The short answer is, no one can tell you a "formula" for your healing. You must seek God and He will tell you what you need to do.

Lastly, give God all the glory. Never forget that God is your savior, healer, your provider, your comforter, your helper in a time of need. He will show Himself mighty on your behalf.

Very good advice!

There was a little ditty my daughter learned when she was little...and we still sing it to this day... especially when it appears circumstances are not lining up with the Word:

I'm not moved by what I feel,
only by the Word that's real!

The Word is working mightily in me!

I would like to recommend two books that have helped me tremendously and they are LOADED with appropriate scripture.

Healing the Sick, by T.L. Osborn

Your Life Follows Your Words, by Darlene Bishop.

You must tune out the world and keep scripture in your eyes and ears all the time, morning, noon and night. No matter how much the symptoms scream in your face, the Word of God is much more powerful, if you hold fast to it.

I will be praying for you.

In the meantime, until you can get ahold of those books, here's a short list of scriptures you can look up and meditate on:

Exodus 15:26
Exodus 23:25
Deuteronomy 7:14-15
Deuteronomy 30:19-20
I Kings 8:56
Psalm 91:9-10, 14-16

I would say, pray for a miracle but submit your will to God’s (James 4.7) and ask Him to teach you what you need to know while you wait for your healing. And don’t forget, God heals in other ways than just the miraculous kind that make you say ‘Wow!’ So, don’t forget to take your medicine while you wait.

Sincerely,
~Claire Waters

Matthew 8

The Man With Leprosy

1When he came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2A man with leprosy[a] came and knelt before him and said, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." 3Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" Immediately he was cured[b] of his leprosy. 4Then Jesus said to him, "See that you don't tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

a> Matthew 8:2 The Greek word was used for various diseases affecting the skin—not necessarily leprosy.

Jesus is willing to make you clean.

Building onto what Christina M has posted, last week we read in Leviticus about leprosy (which you surely don't have). The term was used for many skin conditions, including the real disease leprosy. Anyway, the rabbis of old wrote that skin diseases were a symptom of a mouth which gossiped or was otherwise "out of control". Very interesting to me as I also have an annoying skin condition, and I can have a very snarky mouth. The lesson last week has been in my mind all week - I need to work on this. As Christina's verse from Proverbs shows!

Seek healing from God, within the scriptures and through your physicians.

Run in the opposite direction from any debates on healing - we all agree that God heals. You don't need a debate, you need prayer and you need God the healer. :prayer:

Dids, it is statements like this that flame arguments. God heals despite our doctrine. I am sure He heals as many per capita in our congregation as he does in yours. God’s healing is a grace and a grace is not dependent on us. Sure faith may facilitate the healing but God can heal without it. If He chooses not to heal a particular person, then another aspect of faith has to kick in – trust. We believe God for the miracle (i.e., faith) but if it doesn’t happen like we want it to, we still believe that He loves us, has heard us, has our best interest at heart, and will accomplish His purpose in/with/through us, despite us (i.e., trust).

Why is that so hard to accept?

Sincerely,
~Hugh B. Sweet

Can I recommend that you continue to pray and then see a natropath.
My sister spent the first three years of her life with a rash that was itchy and at times painful. Doctors called it a gazillion different types of exma (not sure how spelt) depending on dr and none of them where able to do anything to help - it just got worse. At three years old they wanted to give her cortizone and mum decided she would try everything else first before she let them. Took my sister to a natropath who diagnosed her with some big long name and said it was a mineral imbalance in the skin. She was healed in three weeks what drs couldn't achieve in three years!
Be careful though - try and get one recommended because some can be just plain creepy

I will say this:

1) Stay before the face or God and praising him
2) Just know and believe on matter what he does that he is able to heal you of this
3) Also when you are pray stop asking him to heal you, but start thanking him for healing you
4) Stay away from the healing threads( I think I was stick with that idea many have posted and debates on healing) Stay away from anythign that can make you doubt your faith
5) Know that this is just a trail that you can pass in the name of Jesus I pray that he will heal you, cure you, dliever you, and cover you that when you go to the docotors the signs will start to disapper and know the doctor doesn't have the last and final say God is the one who has the say and claim your healed in the Name of Jesus I pray Amen:)
