Gal 3:27 reads , For as many as were BAPTIZED / BAPTIZO into Christ have clothed themselves with Christ >

#1 What does BAPTIZED mean here ? As the Greek BAPTIZE has many meaning !!

#2 Most do believe it means WATER BAPTISM ?

#3 And many believe that Paul did water baptize .

What say you ?

It means a complete baptism. Baptism in water for the remission of previous sins, then the laying on of hands to receive the Holy Spirit. And Paul did both.

And in 1 Cor 10:2 And all were BAPTIZED unto Moses in the CLOUD and in the SEA ?

So how were the Jews WATER BAPTIZED as they crossed the RED SEA . if you believe in WATER BAPTISM ?

I do have to say that I do believe in WATER BAPTISM , but not under the DISPENSATION of the GRACE of God , Eph 2:8 !!

The new birth made available on Pentecost to the Jews and extended to the Gentiles in Act 10 is a complete salvation in every sense of the word. You have been freely given everything in Christ Jesus.

This new birth baptism via holy spirit is permanent, it’s seed (1Pe 1:23) and it’s unalterable; there is absolutely nothing you can do to lose it.

Once you receive the spirit of God you are endued with power from on high sealed with the holy spirit of promise…eternal life is yours there is nothing more you need do….. You can sit on your butt and wait to die or till Christ returns…. or you can tap the resources given to you by renewing your mind to the Word of God and walk with the power an authority you have received.

The criteria for being born again is listed in Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

That’s it!.... that is your part in the acceptance of the new covenant…it’s pretty simple, so simple in fact that many Jew couldn’t accept …they still wanted to hack and splash away…. to perform something in the flesh. They couldn’t accept that everything was completed in Christ….similar to today…. people still want to do works to gain salvation including water baptism…. This is what Christ told the Apostles before He was taken up.

Act 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the holy spirit not many days hence.

In simple terms …. when the greater came the lesser was done away with.

Water baptism is nothing more than a feel-good symbolic action that does nothing…. it ceased when the greater came.

Johns was a baptism unto repentance …..spirit baptism is all inclusive. Had God wanted water in verses He would have put it in there …. He did not!......and it is not up to man to supersede what God has directed.

So, based on Ephesians 2, what makes you think baptism has been done away with?

It does not say to GENTILES , but to ISRAEL did John come TOO .

Either or Logic of the current age tends to confuse many issues.

Since there is a spiritual aspect to baptism, there is no reason why it could not be "yes water baptism" and yes "whatever you had in mind"

And Eph 4:5 says that there is ONLY one BAPTISM , what does ONE / HEIS , BAPTISM mean , IS it WATER ?

Or is it a BAPTISMA , a HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM ?

It is a synecdoche. The writer does not have to repeat every word of the gospel in every verse.

To the Jew first, then to the Nations (the goyim). As you should know, gentiles in fact were baptized later...in water...

Agreed. Paul never does.

The point in the verse is the being clothed in Christ, and the meanings derived from the point it occupies in the ongoing flow of argument in the letter. In other words, there weren't different "classes".

Ephesians 4:5 - one Lord, one faith, one baptism.

1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. *Also see John 4:10,14; 7:37 for the word drink(s).

1 Cor 12:13 is a very good verse !

If all would check what the Greek word in Eph 4:5 means , the Greek word BAPTIZO is really the Greek word BAPTISMA and means ONE BAPTIZER , who is the HOLY SPIRIT and you will find BAPTISMA , 22 times from Matthew though 1 Peter .
