I currently have 5 baby jap pumpkins-i believe the Jap is also known as the Kent pumpkin? 3 of them are on 1 plant- another two are on two different pumpkin plants

Does anyone know how big they normally grow-in approx how many kilogram can they weigh-lowest weight to heighest weight?

This is my 2nd biggest baby pumpkin!

my dog got to the 1st baby pumpkin-Naughty dog!
I lost another pumpkin-it appeared, but didn't get fertalised! so it died off.

I've notice there all at different stages-so there all going to be ready at different times!

My biggest baby pumpkin is already about 2 1/2 to 3inches now!

We prefer the grey skinned pumpkin ones to roast as unlike the other pumpkin they don't go soft and soggy in the oven!

I also have some baby grey pumpkin plants growing, but there only really tiny still-there doing okay, but not thrving like the other pumpkin variety

And taste nicer too!
I love jap pumpkins -that's what we are inadvertenly growing. We planted flowers, and fertilised them with chicken manure. Now we have pumpkins.
ROL Now thank God for Chicken Manure! It's better then Flowers. My Pumkin is the Queensland Blue and took over like mad the whole backyard. I ended up breaking the tips off - and now I got more fruit.
Nothing better on a cold Winter Day as a good Pumkin Soup.

Is it too late to plant pumpkins?|

I have broccoli in, and also the odd zucchini still growing.

So what else should I put in for Winter?
Am I right when I am thinking that you are in Canberra? Anyway it's cold there and you should get your Lima or Broad Beans what they are sometime called in now. Also fresh cut Brussel Sprauts are most tasty to eat. And of course don't forget the Winter Spinach, you know the English one with the small leaves. Real Spinach, not Silver Beet, which grows well in cold Clima. And what I do with Spinach is, I cooke and put it to the Blender (or Porker if you have) and make beautyful, creamy Spinach with Mash Potatoes and a sunny side Egg on top or I cut the leaves a little smaller and have a great Salad.
