How are different sins different

So I thought all sins were the same.

Then I found out the unforgivable sin, which is different because that one can't be repented from.

And I don't know but from the way people act about Gay people and Christians it seems like there's something different about homosexual acts too. I thought it was just another sin. Is there something about it that makes it different from other sins?

Also which sins are different from other sins? And post the scripture you found that out from too please.

The unforgivable sin is to think that the works of Jesus came from the Devil, the reason you can not be forgiven of it is because if you think Jesus gets His power from devils then you will never ask Jesus to forgive you.
It is not that God can not forgive it, it is that the person is very unlikely to ask for forgiveness

as for homosexual acts and Christians acting like those are the "super bad sins" well that is just our modern culture, straight people are really grossed out by gay stuff, well some are
besides being a sin, I think that homosexual actions go agianst natural law, by this I mean that by reason and logic one can see that homosexual actions are unnatural
Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature those things that are of the law; these having not the law are a law to themselves

kind of like that.

but I think a lot of sins fall into this natural law catagory

are you familiar with the Roman Catholic teaching on Mortal Sin and Venial Sin?

Yes but I didn't mean which sins are mortal sins, I meant a list of specific sins that are...i know this word has positive connotations but I cant find another word...unique. Like blasphemy against the holy spirit is different from other sins.

there is a medieval list of sins that "cry out for vengeance" which are counted as being extra bad sins

homosexual acts
murder
opposing the poor, the widow and the orphan
not paying a worker what is owed to him

here is the reason listed for the last one

" Out of Eccl. xxxiv. 37. “He that sheddeth blood and he that defraudeth the hired man, are brethren,” and out of James v. 4. “Behold the hire of the workmen that have reaped your fields, which is defrauded by you, crieth, and their cry hath entered into the ears of the Lord God of Sabbath.”

also, when man fell from grace in Eden, God said "you will earn your bread by the sweat of your brow"
so to have someone work and not give them what you owe them goes agianst how God set up the world, it was seen as far worse then theft

they are only the same in that any one would separate you from God. i would rather you steal from me than murder me. In that sense, they are not the same.
