OK all, I had an idea a few days ago, and was wondering. How did you decide on your screen names? Some people, (like me) are very boring. 5kidsdad, gee, wonder how that came about? If it is too personal, then please don't answer. If it isn't, then please do. I thought this thread might be something that would allow us to see how we all think.

A quote sort of summed up how I felt when I took the screen name. It doesn't seem to feel right anymore so maybe its time for change. Good topic.

"You wonder what I am doing? Well, so do I, in truth. Days seem to dawn, suns to shine, evenings to follow, and then I sleep. What I have done, what I am doing, what I am going to do, puzzle and bewilder me. Have you ever been a leaf and fallen from your tree in autumn and been really puzzled about it? That's the feeling." T.E. Lawrence or Lawrence of Arabia

I chose my screen name because I am a Faithful Wife. I am a very loyal, faithful person by nature. When I was married to my first husband, even though he cheated on my numerous times, I was faithful to him. When he chose to leave and divorce, I was faithful to him until the day our divorce was finalized. When I was single and unmarried, I was faithful to myself and did not have sex for a couple of years--so I've even walked THAT walk (put my money where my mouth is). And now that I've been blessed with a second husband who is just a STUNNING gift from G-d, I am a faithful wife...probably MORE faithful just from what I learned about marriage and relationships.

I chose my screen name based on the most important role I have been fulfilling in my life. There are times that I wonder if my recent marriage problems are a result of focusing on child rearing instead of marriage nuturing?!?!? I thoroughly enjoy being my kids daddy. I know that no one else will ever be able to take my place. I came from a large family, 13th of 15 kids and I seemed to have gotten lost in the shuffle of my parent's life. I don't blame them for anything, I know a bit more than most people in having what is considered a large family today. My relationship with my dad is so different (in a negative way) than what I have with my kids. But even now, I visit with my parents on a weekly basis and see to it that my kids feel very comfortable around their grandparents.

I have a son named Joey. :) A kangaroo's baby is called a Joey. :) That would make me the mommy kangaroo.

Winnie the Pooh was a big hit in our house when I needed a name for this forum. Kanga is the name of the mommy kangaroo in that book.

I have two children. Kanga22 is meant to be read as "Kanga to two". And I would capitalize it if I knew how, but it's not that important. :D

I have a great love for obscure words - a flibbertigibbet is a silly woman aka airheaded flake.

Some of my other favorites - which I chose NOT to use because they have NO application, even a remote one - are Abderite: the Abderites were a group of people from the ancient city of Thrace, known for their particularly thick skulls; and Buffona: a woman with a moustache. :D

When I ventured into the online world I was either on the way to divorce or newly divorced and I was looking forward to the time when God would restore the years that the locusts had eaten..... I gave my ex-h a lot of years. I waited on him before we were married (don't want to go into that) and prayed for restoration of marriage, waited 5 years before finishing the divorce he started...... I was 19 when I met that non-Christian body builder. Look how the years fly by.

When I first joined this forum (my first online community) my (now ex) husband had just left me and our 3 children for a much younger woman very unexpectedly. My world, as I had known it, had fallen apart. All my hopes and dreams were crushed. In the midst of the overwhelming despair, I felt that God had given me a supernatural deposit of hope. Hence I chose the name Hope4today..... it was a confession of the hope I had in God during my darkest hour.

I became known as Hope and I have kept that name for all my online interactions. I love it :)

My screen name is my name..only its spelled in the way that my name is said.

My real name is Danielle...but I have always been called Dani..
Most people who see the name Dani and pronounce it as Danny. It is actually pronounced..Day-knee..That's my name..That is why my screen name is spelled that way..so that people see it and say Day-knee (Dani)

I joined the forums shortly after learning of my wife's internet affair. Only the Lord at that point could touch my heart. I was His willing captive. He held my heart through my nightmare.

Are you still captive or have you been set free?

My previous screen name was just my name  That account ended up deleted when I was being stalked, oy.

My current username was chosen fairly quickly, almost randomly, but I came up with the idea because I have Seasonal Affective Disorder -- which is depression affected by low light levels. I'm at my best emotionally in the light (morning) as opposed to any other time.

When I came here I was trying to avoid my marriage ending (he was constantly telling me I did everything wrong and wasn't Christian enough... all that to hide the fact that he was having numerous affairs). I was "Trying to be" ad good wife/good Christian/better person/ everything that he wanted me to be. He hacked that account and I really felt I needed the support of this community so I made a new one "Trying to be (again)". Shortly after that he left and I found out everything...

I don't mind the name... but I perform spoken word under a different name so if I could do it over I'd use that name...
