I thought of posting this under a more supportive or encouraging section but I think the situation might have more value as a warning.

Right, here goes.

Horoscopes are like drinking, gambling and cocaine. It's a drug. Trust me. Just recently this stuff almost destroyed me. I lost a bit of money but that's not the real issue. The big problem is what this stuff does to you.

It's been preached and warned about over and over again and passages are always quoted by those who's never stood in horoscope junkie's shoes for one day. They also have no idea how to approach the problem when it is there in the first place. And it can be a pretty big problem, especially when you believe in God. That part is destroyed in a heartbeat. And the worst is, there is no cure until you reach the end date of your reading. After that, you got a blank sheet. Or so you believe...

That's the other part. The real BIGGY. The planets, the moon and the stars are like gods, with the power to make or break you. It's influence and suffocating grip isn't felt when you're still sniffing a line of Jupiter or Saturn every weekend but sooner or later when some random prediction get's it right, you have taken the bait. And mostly it's when you are at your lowest. Someone said once "You can farthest when it's dark". I think I saw stars and took it the wrong way.

It is, for all ends and purposes the worship of false gods. This is now as clear as day to me.

I might sound quite relaxed about this but I'm not. Truth is I am really confused and I have no idea how to get out of this. I know God has the power to change and do anything. But how do I release my faith in something that has me in it's grip for the next month, year or even decade? And I've tried and failed so many times. Because my mind and the self-centered reality that it creates does not allow me to see beyond this fabricated world. Every time something happens I am torn between what is from God and what is from "Your friendly face astrologer". What is reality? What is the truth?

The first step is obvious. Don't read it. Simple enough. But it's that putrid lingering smell that hangs around your future that never goes away. And that is the most dangerous part of Astrology. It takes away your faith because you can't differentiate between two realities. Or rather, one reality and one fantasy.

This fantasy/reality conflict could also be blamed on the media. Different programs but similar effect except the one "advises you" and the other "tells you". Astrology wants to empower a individual. You have a say in your own destiny! Sweet. But isn't that rebellion? If God's son showed us the ultimate way to live, and he did nothing except what the Father instructed him to do, then anything else must be a form of rebellion? So where does that leave us?

I guess the Old Testament is a good indication. Moses was the most humble man to walk the earth and that was precisely the reason why he was called. He could listen. But even he failed.

Astrology is one of the most underestimated evil's in the world. Christians should be on a full rampage about this and yet, many find it harmless. It doesn't rip apart a fetus, or destroy a man's liver but it creates havoc on the mind. That one singular voice you have that connects you to God. It eats away at it like a virus until all that's left is a destitute man without faith or future.

You're not worse than an atheist. It is most likely that you're like every other human. You have some deep needs that, without being met, cause anxiety, uncertainty, emptiness, pain, or confusion. You found something that soothes you.

Blessed is the person who turns away from comfort because of what God said is best for them in the long term. Most of us can't do that consistently, but it is a very serious problem when someone can't do it at all. That's what a full-blown addiction is. You can't stop. The pain drives you to need comfort.

God loves you and wants to help you, but God's help is no small thing. It's powerful and effective. It often requires that the refiner's fire burn off lies that are lodged in a person's soul. It is the truth that sets you free. The truth is that believing a horoscope is dangerous for you in more than one way, but the main immediate way is that you are accepting comfort from something other than God that has the capability to increase your addiction to it. Sometimes seeing a lie for what it is can set a person free, but usually not. It usually takes work over time by the Holy Spirit so a person experiences the freedom that comes from the truth (and that is done in step with your trust in God and obedience).

However, the beginning of that power is often from trying to identify the lies and instead take actions according to faith in God.
  1. Have Horoscopes been shown to be statistically correct (they haven't)? Logically, believing them is foolish. (However, even people that recognize they are foolish read them.)
  2. God loves you and protects you powerfully, and nothing can separate you from that. When you have a good day or "good fortune," thank God, since he is the one that granted it to you. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17, 1984 NIV)
  3. God is faithful and reliable is working for your benefit. Even if a horoscope were true, there is nothing connected to it that is working for your benefit, and actually, there's a good argument that it is connected to something working for your destruction (even with horoscopes that seem favorable). In other words, God loves you, but horoscopes don't (and can't).
  4. Why do they comfort you? Is it because you are afraid or confused by the unknown and the Horoscope gives you hope? God wants you to get hope and comfort from him. Read and memorize God's promises to you. There's a lot of them and they are awesome! You will see him come through on many of them if you persist in clinging to him regarding everything. God's promises of love, protection, and blessing are for things far greater than anything a horoscope has ever suggested.
  5. Who or what is a person trusting when he believes a horoscope? That the words are true? Who did the words come from and why? If they come from a person, then check the horoscopes from several people. Are they all the same? If not, then all (or all but 1) are lies. If one thought 1 was right, then how would a person know which one it is? As it is, they are written broadly enough that they can come true for all kinds of people. Do you think it has come true for everyone born that month? If it doesn't, that proves the horoscope was wrong, and some people just got lucky, but that had nothing to do with the horoscope.

This is how you know: if it doesn't come from someone who is anointed with the holy ghost (not someone in the occult) turn away from it. Turn around and run from soothsayers/astrologers/witches, even white magick witches/and anything to do with the occult and run inside the Heavenly Father's world.

Find some Christian praise and worship music and play it all day and all night. Put bible verses on sticky notes and paste them around the house. Go to a church praise and worship because the holy spirit is very strong there. People get saved and healed there because the spirit moves. Have people there pray over you and lay hands on you.

YES -- media content is selected by occultists which are the upper levels of Free Masons, Illuminati, etc. They are masters of social control. They do not communicate with words; they communicate using colors, numbers and symbols to which the average person is unaware. We see this unfold in all commercials, music videos, TV shows, news reports, etc.

I so much admire your courage to share and to seek God's face. May I pray for you?

Father God, please lift up this soul for healing. I pray that you will bind the enemy who keeps this person in bondage with astrology. Bind this spirit of bondage in the name of Jesus and send it back to the dimension from which it came. Please bless this person with a discerning spirit so they can recognize your voice as distinct from other voices. Please bring this person under your wings to learn who you are. Surround this person with people who will nurture and support, so the astrology is replaced with faith in the everlasting truth. Father, your laws are the superior, unchanging ones. You remind us of this in your Word; you remind us that the occult fools us with deception and that you are the real everlasting power over all. That is how we know to follow you above an astrologer. I thank you and praise you for bringing this soul to this forum to seek your face. Thank you for your healing power, Father God. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray these things.
