My original thread on honor got a little side-tracked and then vanished (Oh so mysteriously ) and we never really got a chance to discuss it on a personal level.

What does honor mean to you individually and as far as your religious beliefs go? Is honor even compatible with religious beliefs?

I would say that a sense of honor and justice can manifest itself in individuals, with or without religious beliefs. Ideally, the concept of honor should go hand in hand with religious beliefs that promote being respectful and good to our fellow human beings, that abhor lying and deception, and that protect the weak and help the helpless. Unfortunately, some individuals or groups twist their own religious scripture to suit their interpretation, which may violate the general precepts of honor.
