  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Where did you and your SO go on your honeymoon? Did you take a long honeymoon, or was it just a few days? Did you leave for your honeymoon right after you got married, or did you wait awhile (days, weeks, even months)?

I'm just curious to know what everyone did. My fiance and I are using his parents' timeshare for ours, so we have to decide where we want to go and what we want to do in the near future.

We'll be young and poor for the most part, so, while we'd like to go out of the country, we'll probably just go to Maine and maybe take a day or two trip to Newfoundland. Or Florida. Or Portland, Oregon. Not sure.
And, we'll probably be going a week or two after our wedding. We're getting married in Minnesota, but we both live in Massachusetts, so we'll get married in Minnesota, drive to Massachusetts with all our new & old stuff.. settle into our apartment, then go to our honeymoon. At least, that's what I think may happen.

We will start with a shorter, more-local honeymoon right away with a longer trip to be planned for sometime later ... maybe even next year.

We went to Banff for a week. We got married on the Saturday, and left on the Monday morning, which was perfect... it was relaxing to not have to rush away the next morning. Then when we got back, we had a couple days before we both returned to work, which was also nice. We are still working on settling into our house. Where am I supposed to put all this stuff?!

We stayed here http://www.stay-hebrides.com/ in the outer hebrides in Scotland... just idyllic, we spent a week there and saw the Northern lights :)

Our wedding night was spent in a hotel at Heathrow airport!!! The flight was on Sunday morning.

That would've been magical! I would like (no correction, LOVE) to go to Scotland, the Highlands and see the Northern lights!

Our honeymoon at the moment will be shared with my Dad! My Dad is coming over from Australia for the wedding and is also planning a 2week trip to Italy, he has generously offered to pay for me and my fiance to go to Italy for 2 weeks with him, so that will be our honeymoon. (strange that we'll be with my dad but at least we get to spend time with him before he returns to Australia and I might not see him for another 6 years, like it's been already!)

We will try to get away for a couple of nights on our own though straight after the wedding, maybe to Scotland (if I have my way lol).

My wife and I honeymooned at Morro Bay in California. It's one of her favorite places, so we got a beach house right along the water for a week. Beautiful place and I want to go back sometime to stay at that beach house again. At night durring hightide, the water would hit the rocks about 15 feet below the windows. It was amazing and I loved it.

Our wedding night we stayed at a hotel because it was too far of a drive to make that night after the reception. Didn't really bother us either way cause we were together. I was however, very smart and told no one what hotel it was. I am very happy I made that decision because right after the wedding, we went outside to find my truck had been decorated on the outside AND inside... and on the inside they threw a whole bag of confetti which I still find all around the inside to this day...

Left straight after the wedding. Somewhere local for the first three nights, further afield after that (a campground, stayed in a little cabin for a week). Leaving straight afterwards fitted in well with work - took off the one stretch of time for the wedding preperation, wedding and honeymoon. It's good to have some time straight away to get used to each other. You don't have to spend too much money, all you really need is a bed...
