Should they be criminalized and sentenced to death? I hear it allot on other Christian forums that homosexuals should be given the death penalty. I don't agree with criminalizing any sexual or relations between people that are consensual(except obvious child-adult relationships).

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

yes and its from scripture that they have no clue about, its all about how god didn't want the jews to take up other religious practices, well people had homosexual sex during rituals they were told to condemn so they did.
it really has to do with control though, the jews would start worshiping fertility gods and the priests told them not to, so lev says they shouldn't
id love to see a real honest reason behind it, other than vague nonsense that they can't show is true
the best they have is religious reasons they don't have a clue about and some vague meaningless strawman of marriage that no one could find a logical reason to believe, when marriage is dying from divorce anyway
corruption of our kids? well if they are gay they knew they where already, now its just more acceptable and tolerated by more people, so they can be themselves

Where in the bible does it say its ok to have homosex as long as you are not doing it as part of worship to a Pagan God?

Amen to that. So they're not producing kids by having sex. BIG DEAL- the world is overpopulated as it is. Plus, a lot of gay couples adopt children, which gets those children out of orphanages- that's certainly helpful to society, and I don't believe that it ruins the model of the "family". Plenty of straight Christians mess that up, so really, what does it matter? (There is no statistical proof that a child raised by two gay parents does "worse" than a child raised by 2 straight ones. Nor does it mean that the child will become gay- certainly, straight parents have raised children who turned out to be gay.) What two gay men/women do to each other should not be anyone's concern as long as it's consensual.
AND...many pedophiles and child-abusers are NOT gay, as some people like to believe. Statistically, it's not the case. (I know the OP wasn't saying that it was, I just wanted to add that in)
I am probably one of the only Christians in existence who doesn't condemn homosexuality...and even if I did, it's is certainly not a crime punishable by death. If someone is gay, it's between them and God and as long as they don't force anyone to have sex with them (ie, rape, which "straights" are not any less guilty of), it's no one's business but their own.

This is an excellent point, especially when a lot of people compare the gay population to pedophiles. It is a fact that MOST pedophiles are not gay. The statistics are there, do the research.

Probably cause they imagine themselves to be modern day prophets like Jeremiah or Ezekiel, and they have it in their heads that prophets stood on soapboxes on street corners in Jerusalem and screamed their bloody heads off to pronounce God's judgment on everyone.
