The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Hey I'm to the forums. I too am gay, and I was just wondering if having gay thoughts and fantasizing about that, but not doing any homosexual activity is a sin. I feel really guilty when I think of the same sex, but I really can't help it. From reading this thread it seems we all have this same big struggle.

I am not gay, but i believe that god made every one of us with love and care and however he has made us he made us that way for a reason and to label one of gods children as a sinner simply because of the way he was created i think is wrong. you are not god and i would not deal out judgment as if you are. Everyones day will come when we stand before god, no need you rushing it with your premature judgments.

All ways in need of help
I can say from personal experiance that homosexuality is very serious and hard to fight but it can be done. I've had troub;e w/ that and I've gotten help from several people at my church. It takes a commitment to defeating it but it can and has been done. There's never a reason to loose hope!!!
