  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I made some homemade protein bars a week ago with pea protein. Turned out ok.
I didn't use a recipe. I knew the concept because I had done it before with a recipe. I was happy with the ingredients because we had everything on hand: oatmeal, PB, honey, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, coconut, pea protein powder, soy milk.

I have some ideas on how to tweak it a little with more protein powder.
The fat content is probably high.
Do you all ever make protein bars?
Convenient to wrap in saran wrap and take to work.

That sounds good (and super healthy)!
I havent considered making my own protein bar. Also havent heard of pea protein before. I have been using Dymatize ISO 100 for awhile now and honestly, all their flavors have been amazing.

I think that pea protein has gained traction in the vegan community. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but working at reducing animal products. Do you consider yourself vegetarian?
I probably will keep buying protein bars also because they are so convenient. The vegan ones can be expensive and lower in protein than I would like.

Take care!
