We know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God.
A home is a place everyone returns to. It's the first place we start in the morning, and it's the last place we return to at the end of the day. A man's identity, sense of belonging, security, and peace lay in his home. It doesn't matter how big or minor, how rich or poor, or how old or new a home may be; it'll always be a home to those living there. Without a home, a man would be a wanderer, a drifter, unloved, unwelcome, and unwanted.
Men have fought wars to both make new homes and protect the ones they had. A man may betray his country, friends, and allies, but he'll always fight and even die for his home.
The glory of Christendom is that God Himself has built us a home in heaven. So that when we die, it'll not be the end of everything but only the beginning of a forever life.
Now, that's an evangelical message worth preaching. Have a good weekend, saints.
