  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

yes ACE has NZ social studies ( and Australian - different PACE's.) and metric (NZ coinage too) maths as well.

frankly its harder to do a year 13 ACE cert than it is to do the NCEA 3 standards. I could fly thru the unit requirements for level 3 but there is no way I could manage all of the ACE stuff.

The university chancellors office accepts ACE year 13 as non provisional enrollment.

I have to import it from Aussie though **giggle** Oh and the principal of our cover school has juxtaposed the ACE curric agaisnt the NZ standard - it beats it hands down. If I ever need to I can access that and use it to back up what I am doing with the children. - I would, under NZ law, never need to do this.

I guess we're not officially a homeschooling family yet as our daughter just turned three but we plan to be. We do a little bit of "book learning" but mostly right now just try to incorporate learning into our day to day activities. We are still just looking into the different approaches and deciding on which one to take.
