Colossians 2:9-10
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Jesus Christ is our Savior, Eternal High priest and fully GOD. Read what is written in Revelations
Revelations1:8-18
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
This is Jesus speaking, He is the one who was dead, and yet liveth evermore.
So the answer to your question is,
Jesus Christ can speak and act as GOD since He the fullness of the GOD-head bodily, and also can speak as the Son of GOD and our savior and eternal High Priest. Still being separate visually from the original spiritual body of GOD that Jesus dwelt in before the world was. (Jesus Christ is sitting at the right hand of the Father)
Now when all things are placed under His feet Jesus Christ will be subject to the Father, and GOD tells us it like this
1 Corinthians 15: 26-28
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
So Jesus will than be subject to the Father as the Son, once all things are put under His feet. But for now, Jesus is literally given all power and authority over all things. And can most certainly speak as GOD. And its only fitting, since he Had all power since before the world began.
One thing i do know, is that a little confusion about the trinity will not prevent you from receiving the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.
I know people who work in gifts of the Spirit of GOD and believe GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and the Holy Spirit all have had their own bodies since the beginning. BUTi know that GOD is one, and there is only one mercy seat, not 3.

OH, and to explain how the trinity worked before Jesus,
The Father, The Word and the Holy Ghost all had equal rights to one single body. The Body of GOD! and from there the Father sent forth His Holy Spirit and sent forth His word to create all things.
Just like how those that believe in Jesus Christ as the scriptures hath said now have received the Holy Spirit of promise and we have GOD dwelling in us!
