  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We hear these words said at funerals, weddings, birthdays, and just about any gathering of people. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We know that the Father and the Son are HOLY SPIRITS, but what about the third person of the Trinity? We don't know the name of or the gender of the third HOLY SPIRIT. You don't think when God communes with this personality he says, come on Holy Spirit let's have a cup of coffee and talk awhile do you?
When Jesus said: ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate. The two shall become one flesh,{duh} offspring right? Now that's a pretty good description of a Trinity isn't it? Not as Holy and pure as the masters Trinity. But the next best one I'd think.
Now let's take this conversation about the Holy Spirit farther back in the Bible. Back to when Gabriel spoke with Mary.
And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27. To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
And the angel answered and said unto her, The HOLY SPIRIT shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Why would God send an angel to announce his plan, but not use the same angel to fulfill it? Unless the Holy Spirit that Gabriel spoke of was the only entity that could perform this miracle. The two angels sent to Lot didn't need help. The angel that wrestled with Jacob didn't need help, to use a few examples.
THANK YOU,
NIGHTMAN
