love&forgiveness

Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

(Mar 3:28) Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
(Mar 3:29) But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
(Mar 3:30) Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

were they guilty of blasphemey because they said this about Christ?.(verse below)
was it because they blasphemed against the Holy Spirit casting out devils.
for they actually blashpemed against the work of the Holy Spirit and called it a lie and of satan?

(Mar 3:22) And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
should we be extra careful today of calling them liars who claim to have gifts of the Holy Ghost.

(Mat 7:22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(Mat 7:23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

so then is the question how do we know these?.
do they really prophesie ,do they really cast out devils and do many wonderful works?

(Mat 7:16) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
(Mat 7:17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
(Mat 7:18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
(Mat 7:19) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
(Mat 7:20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
(Mat 7:21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

what exactly then is their fruit ,does it come from God or satan.
is it from a mans sinful desire or is it from the word of God.

(2Pe 2:18) For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
(2Pe 2:19) While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
(2Pe 2:20) For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
(2Pe 2:21) For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
(2Pe 2:22) But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

these people will speak worldy things ,sin that we have once turned away from ,sin that God s word speaks of ,they will decieve many based on worldly lusts.

(2Ti 4:3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
(2Ti 4:4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

(Mat 24:24) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

false Christs is this those who claim to be of Christ as in Christians.
what are the great signs and wonders?
are they all just tricks and powerful words to decieve us ,we know they try to use science.
and all this rubbish about us coming from apes etc.

anyway any thoughts on any of this?

God bless.

I, for one thing, still do not know what blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is.

(2Ti 4:3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
(2Ti 4:4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I take these verses to describe Christians who cannot be differentiated from the population at large. I read the posts of many Christians on this forum and truly cannot tell from the response who is a Christian and who is not. Some even relish the approval of the non-christian! Perhaps they believe that they are prothelizing, but to me it appears that they are playing to the crowd!

(Mat 24:24) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I am so grateful to God for loving me and Jesus for saving me, and that I will not be deceived! I try to speak to my non-Christian friends about these things, but don't seem to make much headway.

If you're a christian, you can't blaspheme the holy spirit willfully ever.

"Therefor I want you to understand that NOONE under the power of the Holy Spirit of God can ever really say, Jesus be cursed! And NOONE can really say Jesus is my Lord except by and under the power of the Holy Spirit."

As I understand, blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is denying the conviction of the Holy Spirit and believing you can make it on your own apart from Jesus.
People will be convicted of their sin when they hear the gospel, if they choose to harden their hearts and say no to it they are blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
I other word you can interpret that as "I don't need this Jesus thing, I can make it on my own, if there is a god he will acept me because I'm good"
If you look in between the lines you could say that by doing that they are puting themselves at the same level of God.

The_Saint said:
Let's straighten this out: The Holy Ghost is a person like unto the Son of Man and is the Third Person in the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is what is received when you are born again which allows you to speak in tongues, tonges with interpretation, prophesy and operate the other manifiestations of Holy Spirit.:priest:
Actually, the Spirit is received when you are born again, but the gift is received when you are baptised in the Spirit. Two different events. Jesus told His disciples to receive the Holy Spirit, then He told them to wait for the power of the Spirit.

Here is how I answer when I get this question.
Mark 3:28:"...all sins will be forgiven the sons of men and whatever blasphemies they may utter; (v.29) but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgivness but is subject to eternal condemnation..."
What is the work of the Holy Spirit? To convince the lost of their sin & need for a savior. Blaspheming the Spirit must be resisting that work of the Spirit. It must be! Dying a nonChristian is the only sin I know of that's unforgivable & subject to eternal hell. Staying a nonChristian must be blaspheming the Spirit.
What were the Pharisees in the Mark 3 doing to get Christ talking about this? They were equating supreme good, the Word incarnate, God in the flesh, with supreme evil. No doubt their conscience would prick them every time they opened their mouth against Christ! Some resisted this work of the Spirit, blaspheming Him, some turned in repentance & faith to Christ, like Nicodemus, depending on who was the elect & who the unregenerate.
