  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi Delight1!

I can't speak for unitarians, who are not Christians. Pentecostals, however, as well as all other Christians, believe that the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is one member of the trinity. When Jesus left the Earth after the resurrection, he said he would not leave us as orphans but that he would come to us through the Holy Spirit. Now, when we accept Christ, the Holy Spirit indwells us and begins to change us to be more like Christ. He guides us, teaches us, encourages us, and brings us intimacy with God, to know him not just on an intellectual level but also to experience Him emotionally. He reveals God to us directly and indirectly (1 Cor 2:10-14)

I hope this helps! :)

The Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is the third person of God in His manifestation towards man and His creation. The Spirit of God has many works throughout the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Her are a few verses:

Mt 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Mt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Mt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Ps 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Ps 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

Isa 63:10 But they rebelled And grieved His Holy Spirit; Therefore He turned Himself to become their enemy, He fought against them.

Isa 63:11 Then His people remembered the days of old, of Moses. Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit in the midst of them,

Lu 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

Eph 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Eph 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

1Th 4:8 So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you.

Not. There are enough websites, and posts on other threads on this site,
to show that not nearly all christians, especially not those immersed in
Hebrew, believe in so-called 'trinity'... when or how this word was
introduced is difficult if not impossible to verify on internet,
but a triune god was evidently not in the teachings of Scripture, of Yeshua, nor of the Apostles. (in english is seems, only seems, plausible)
The fallen away church after 300 a.d. or quite some time later used or adopted the triune god for their purposes, and the revelation during the reformation revealed the fallen church but not back to its origin;likewise not all of the doctrines introduced by false teachers were done away with - instead compromises were set up, put in place, to divert attention from the truth.
the search for the truth about this and other significant historical
deceptions and current ones(by the one world gov. and church that is
described in Scripture) is sure to be a long one, but worth it. I don't know
near enough to debate it, but Yeshua said that Father is happy to teach
the truth about everything to whoever loves the truth enough to obey Him
and to give up everything for Him. So ask Him and keep seeking.

In the Great commision, Jesus refers to the trinity....

Matthew 28:19

19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Well as a Penecostal hoping to help you a little:wave:

The Holy Spirit is & remains in a Spirit form regardless of the beliefs of an individual. His position is to convict men of their sin & teach them that they cannot approach a Holy God without a covering of sin(Jesus' sacrifice). Then once someone accepts the Lord He resides inside of the believer to comfort, teach & help the person in their walk of holiness & their relationship with the Godhead.
