Hobby turned money maker?

I started web design as a hobby, an now I manage 5 web sites and have a few more in the works. Basicaly my hobby turned into a smal cash cow ( ilove saying cash cow! ahah anyway...).

Has anyone ever had a hobby like that? Im not talking like $5 here or there I mean some real $$?

I started raising fish as a hobby, then ended up raising seven different types and selling them on the internet. I also raise snails, red ramshorns, P. caniculata, several colors of P. bridgesii, and asolene spixis. they've made a nice side income and soon will be my only income because I'm in the process of buying a pet store . I've made money with handcrafts too, but that only ever brought anything in during the holidays.

I was interested in building computers and networks, and have recently set up many small business networks for them... not too much money, but im making money from something i think is fun

I used to sell my surplus plants. I love propogating my plants from seeds and cuttings and I always had far more than I needed, so my husband would take them to school and sell them in the staff room. I was soon taking orders...

I always thought it would be good to have a plant centre. I think I would specialise in fuchsias and herbs. Maybe one day...

As of two days ago I started, trying, to make money off my hobby. I opened a shop over at cafepress.com with T-shirts and a few other small items featuring my photography.

I won't be offering any prints yet as I need a larger photograph library, and people to sign my release forms such as the airport owner. lol

So yeah, hopefully Fight to Fly Photography will be able to churn in some cash!! haha

I did magic as a hobby and now am a full time pro with a Gospel Magic Shop/Ministry now!

In college I used to work out knots and tight areas out of several athletes sore and tense arms, backs, necks as well as others who were tense due to hours if studies and other college activities...little did I know I would be a licensed massage therapist 10 or so years later!!! And I have made money from the helpful and revitalizing touch upon others.
