Hobbies, what do you do for fun?

I am an amateur radio operator, W7XXZ. I like to play around with computer graphics. I love rockabilly music, Wagner Operas, and good big band music. I like to hike about in the deserts around here, and when I lived on the coast the forests and beach. I am an avid reader.

Glad to have good QSL with a ham on this board!

Me: I like to go to sea every now and then, just to empty out all the garbage. I don't own a boat anymore, but I have buddies who still hire me for short trips, like repositioning for winter. I like to cruise and have done so many times. My dream is a self captained (myself, that is) charter cruise of the Greek islands, including stops at Ephesus and Patmos. You know: all the Apostolic churches!
I read constantly and I enjoy poetry. I rarely watch TV, but I also enjoy movies very much. My latest favorite movie: The new version of "Moby Dick" with Patrick Stewart.

I'm a DJ at my university's student-run radio station. My co-host is my best friend/partner in crime, and we have a weekly 2-hour show. Currently our show is free-format. Within a 30 minute block you could hear Great Big Sea, Johnny Cash, folk music from the Jewish community of Uganda, and something thrown in from the blues bin to make things interesting.

I'm also active in the local pro-life community. I've been pleased to see more and more local Orthodox Christians getting involved!

Even though I still live on campus, I'm in an apartment this semester, so I am starting to do a lot of my own cooking. If anyone has any cheap and easy recipe ideas, I'm open to them.

Although this doesn't really qualify as a hobby since I don't enjoy it all that much, I've been doing a lot of taking care of Drunk!Roommate lately. She likes to cook when she's drunk, but when she's in that state she forgets to do things like clean up, turn off the stove, or eat what she made.

For instance, she decided to bake a pizza last night. She turned on the oven, put the pizza in, and promptly blacked out. This morning I found the oven on and the charred remains of the pizza on the top rack.

If any of you have any ideas to help me help my roommate, I welcome them all!

Dominoes

Racquetball...twice a week...got to have it! Also play rhythm guitar with a bluegrass group that gets together about twice a month.

Also love to go striper fishing when I have time to get the boat to a good striper lake. Lake Texoma my favorite.

My current hobbies: reading and puzzles (word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles).

My sporadic hobbies are: piano, poetry, drawing/painting.

Hey, Jeff!

My husband is going to send you an email. He's a ham radio operator also. Setting up to help in case of an earthquake here in Los Angeles. He said that there is an Orthodox monk from Mt. Athos who is a ham. Have you spoken with any Orthodox monastics over the air?

I love to read, mostly philosophy and ancient history, lifting weights, martial arts, listening to music, and I also enjoy good science fiction movies like Stark Trek. Unfortunately, when I begin law school I don't think I'll have much time for any of these activities, but hopefully I'll be able to squeeze a few of them in.
