  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hm...why not?

First off, welcome to CF ! What are some of your favorite activities ?

Thank you. :)

I have a lot of activities that I enjoy. I suppose that some of my favorites would be hanging out and spending time with my friends and family, reading, listening to music...I also really like learning more about some academic things, surprisingly. I'm a coffee-holic, so I adore little cafes. Reading a book, studying, or hanging out at a cafe with a mocha or latte and perhaps a desert is something me and my friends tend to do a lot. I love hiking and "exploring nature". Where I go to college, there are plenty of bluffs that provide adequate hiking opportunities, which is really nice! I also really like watching baseball.

But that is some things, among multiple other activities!

Sweet ! I really enjoy hiking as well, until I get lost in the wilderness !

What kind of music do you prefer to listen to ?

Lol. True! But part of the fun of hiking is going "off the trail" and exploring everything on your own, and getting "lost". Just so long as you remember an idea of how you got there so you don't end up in an entirely different state or something!

I'm open to a lot of different types of music, and will listen to just about anything as long as it doesn't give me a headache or country...I'm not a fan of country. My main type of music, however, would probably be softer music by people such as Gavin de Graw, Coldplay (Viva la Vide I think their new song is?), Augustana, Jason Mraz, etc. I'm also a huge fan of Michael Buble.

Nice ! What do you enjoy most about life ?

Oh goodness...there is so much of life that I love, so it is hard for my to think of something I enjoy most. Off the top of my head, however, I would probably have to say just the simple things. Observing nature, spending time with my friends and family, etc. Doing things with people that I love that perhaps a lot of people would find trivial, I suppose.

Awesome answer ! What are some of your favorite foods ?

Lol. Thanks!

Once again, I have a ton of favorite foods. I like fruits, almost all kinds, so fruit salads are always good. I also love breakfast foods! But I don't eat the really good kinds often because, obviously, they aren't the healthiest choices. Almost anything mint-flavored is delicious. And then of course there are foods and goodies from cafes! I love lattes, cappucinos, mochas, cocoa, etc. and those drinks with a scone always hits the spot, so to speak. So probably my true favorite is something I can drink and eat at a cafe.

Well thanks ! Now I'm craving a white chocolate moca. :D

Do y'all get a lot of snow in Minnesota ?

Haha! You're welcome! Aren't they good? I especially like the pumpkin and peppermint mochas available in the fall and winterat places like Caribou and Starbucks.

Yes, Minnesota gets quite a bit of snow. Not as much, apparently, as some places. I live in the lower half of the state, though, which gets a bit less on average than areas up north. It is still a significant amount, though. I know it bothers some people, but I love winter so I like all of the snow. :)

Nice ! We rarely see the white stuff here. If we get any kind of winter weather, it's usually ice, and then everything shuts down, lol.

What are some of your favorite movies ?

Lol. I don't think I could live without snow -- especially around Christmas! It just doesn't seem like Christmas without snow.

Hm...I like a lot of different genres of movies. One of my all-time favorite movies, though, is The Day After Tomorrow. I also like The Whale RiderRemember the Titans, Radio, The Notebook (of course, right?), Pride & Prejudice, Troy, Mozart and the Whale, August Rush, etc. So a lot of action/disaster, sports, romance movies. I also really like cute kid movies, like Finding Nemo. They're adorable.

Sweet ! The Day After Tomorrow and Remember the Titans are both great movies !

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you visit ?

Hm...this is really difficult because one of my goals in life is to travel to each continent and visit as many countries as possible. I really love Europe, however, so would probably travel there. Then I would probably most likely like to visit Ireland, Switzerland, Italy, or Greece. But really, if I could travel to every country in Europe, I would be so happy!

I love to travel as well, although I hate flying. :D. I concur though, it's so hard to pick just one place to travel to.

What's your favorite childhood memory ?

You certainly are good and choosing the difficult questions! Lol.

I am sure I will likely think of something else later on, but right now two basic/general memories stick in my mind. One of which has been, especially as a child before my teen years, decorating the Christmas tree with my family. It was when everyone participated, before my dad spent the time with work or my brother decided to sit out. Anyway, we would set up and decorate the tree in late afternoon with Christmas music playing and just enjoying time together, and when it was done we would all sit around with a cup of hot cocoa to admire it. My sister, mom and I still do that every year but my dad doesn't and my brother is gone when we do this. (The Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving!)

Another of my favorite memories has been baking with my mom and sister when I was little. I love baking for fun, so that was always nice to do it with my mom and sister. Plus my sister and I debated over who got to lick the bowl, spoon, etc!
