• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hiya

I just came across this site. It looks great.

I was diagnosed bipolar 1 in 2004. 24/f/uk

Im confused about my faith at the moment and have been avoiding it so I thought joining here might be a good first step. At the moment I say that I am not a christian but am 'cultural christian' and believe in the values of christianity. Which maybe is a way of saying im religious but dont believe in God? I dont know. As i say im confused.:help:

Id really like to get to know you all.

That is an adorable name. Don't worry too much about finding out about christianity, etc. Jesus will bring you and love you and surround you with all the information you need when you most need it. The fact that you happened to pop in is His way of showing you hmmm,hmmm,hmmm more of Him? Hope to hear from you again. I find that this is a wonderful place to meet all kinds of people. The people that I have met here are so down to earth and very supportive.

Everything that the person above me said, (tried to quote, we'll see if it is there) all the way down to the down to earth people here. I have recently learned something, & I imagine it may be simular to what you have gone through.

I am willing to bet you are extremly intelagent (yeah, I may not be, can't spell that word) & I would think you have had genuine, valid questions about christianity, and haven't found the pastor @ church, or the christian in your life whou could give you the answer, thus, you are confussed, looking for real answers.

I am now studying to have these answers, cause I was the guy who would say, "thats a good question, you should ask this person" & that is not what works. So please, feel free to ask me, I may not have all the answers, but I am learning, & I will be glad to answer as best I can.

God Bless you in your search. I will put you in your prayers.

Many of us are confused about our faith at one time or another Toffee. This is a first good step :) Being confused is okay. It helps us look for answers. You don't need to find a label for yourself...just know we're glad to have you here :)
