...and i just happen to be a history major lol

I was too. Though some of the stuff I was witness too when you were born is considered history now. :)

To the OP:
- Histories Mysteries is fun to watch.
- I really liked when they used to run "A History of Britain" early on weekend mornings as a cross promotion with History International. Shame they don't do that anymore.
- "Fighting Fridays" is great. Shootout is fascinating but Dogfights really has me hooked.
- Ermey, Mail Call, 'nuff said.
- Josh Binswanger is my mancrush.
- I dont' get HBO so my first viewing of "Band of Brothers" was on HIST. I loved it so much I dropped $120 on the DVD shortly after my first viewing.
- A&E has certainly lost the "arts" aspect of it's network name. I'm glad History channel is sticking to it's.

I like the specials around the holidays about the history of the current holiday..Like History of Halloween, History of Christmas, History Channukah, etc. Once I saw a History of Hell..Or maybe it was Satan, I dunno. But yeah..I like the 'History of...' things. Yay me.

I used to like the History Channel, but I haven't really watched anything since they started to air all the Hitler/UFO/Nostradamus/Other Tinfoil Hattery stuff.

I'm feeling you on that one! But, I do find it interesting and when I'm too tired to entertain myself and I don't want to watch anything else I still get into the tinfoil hattery. LOL. I like your terminology.

If I'm in a tinfoil hattery mood, there's a radio station for that, I listen to Coast to Coast AM.

Not the history channel.

I'll have to look for that.

The History Channel had a program on the other night about evidence of UFO's from ships logs in the 1800's. That was pretty interesting.
