• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

back to the OP...

I believe "His people" are the people who have / will accept Him as Lord, Love God with all their existence, and their neighbor as themselves. His people also will repent of their sins (change their ways to how God commands out of love and deep respect for Him). His people will love Him and He has always and always will love them.

I believe that Jesus died on the cross for potentially everyone. He died for the muslim, greek, jew, israelite, gentile, american, heretic. So long as they would repent of their sins and love God with all their existence, etc. I don't believe everyone goes to heaven, as that would mean Jesus died for no reason.

Peace.

p.s. I love your new sig sleepingdog :D :waaah:

How so?

If someone has opinions aren't they meant to give them

You are not interested in anyone else's opinion. You are just looking for someone to argue with! Your motive for being here is suspect!

The general theology forum is a great place for debate and opinion sleepingdog, have you tried there yet? It might be right up your alley (if thats what you are looking for) verses the christian scriptures forums. At least they will examine other folks studies there much more, or at least outside the realm of scriptures alone and bring into consideration books you might have read and theres two sides present (there) for the most part in respect to the Jews things you are looking at so it could be quite entertaining for you.

Why not throw in your hook there and see if you get any bites? It makes for better fishing to get into an area where the fish bite. I know its ideal for catching piranha ^_^:p

Matthew 1:21:And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Who are ''his people''?

Sorry that you haven't got many answers yet. But here is mine:

"His" people is simply as the word says: "His" people.
A king has "his" people. A president has "his" people. United States has "her" people.

I say: you give me $5 and you can be "my" people. I guess not many would like to become "my" people.

What does He want in order to be one of "His" people? Would you do it? If not, then you are NOT "His" people.

Is there any more trick hidden in your question?
