CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm kind of neutral in my feelings about Hinder...When I first heard Lips of an Angel, I really hated it...then for a while, I grew to kind of like it...now I wish they would stop playing it so much...

I don't really think that it is overplayed , thats jus' my opinoin.

I'm sick of that song and I never thought it was good in the first place. You can't really listen to one song and say you like the band - since it was the first single off the CD, and it wasn't that good in the first place, I don't really have high hopes for the rest of their CD (that's if I were to get it, which I'm not).

I can say without question however that I HATE the country version of it.

I am a Hinder fan. I like thier CD. They have some good songs on there. I'm with you HeatherJay, the country version of it is horrible.Lips of an Angel is a cheatin' song, lol...and as much as Hinder's sound pulls me, I just can't love it as much as I would if the subject matter were differnet.

I think the reason the country version is so bad for me is because Jack Ingram's got this sweet southern accent and it just makes the fact that it's a cheatin' song just that much worse for me, lol. I mean, I expect it from a hardcore rocker type guy, but I expect something better from a country boy.

i have mixed feelings about the song, but i love the lead singer's voice....i have to agree though, the song is overplayed on the radio

A rather bland and corporate type of rock band. But I do enjoy Jack Ingram's cover of "Lips of An Angel" even though I can't stand the original.
