The dems are the sorest losers I've encountered ever.

As I'm not an American, I'm not a Democrat, or a Republican. I do not see how peaceful protesters, which is what most are, and those who are upset, by this election, are sore losers, at all. Quite the contrary, I see them, as Americans who love their country, very deeply, and are dismayed, and terribly worried, by the person who will now be in charge. It's a relief, quite honestly, to many of us around the world, to see that so many Americans are saying this man might be the president they are stuck with, but his deplorable ways, they do not represent them.

Trump, he whinged, most pathetically, for weeks, about voter fraud, acting like the sorest of losers, before the election, when he was doing poorly in the polls. There had been promises, of violence, of a civil war, if he did not win, from his supporters. I saw some threads, on this forum, from Christians, to that effect. For years, he tried to reject, the legitimacy, of Mr Obama with the racist birther nonsense. But his followers, they want America, to just immediately accept him.

His campign was more about being for the people rather than the establishment

In a campaign one shout and yell loudly to get the attention and the cameras on oneself.

When ones won there`s no longer any need for the use of outdoor voice so to speak.
This is why "LOCK HER UP, LOCK HER UP!!! " is so effective in a campaign, but "who is she??" is the attitude afterwards.

Its the difference between war and peace.
Now he will have to grow into the role as president which Im sure Trump will do just fine and then its time for fulfilling his magnificant politics which Im sure will be doing a lot good to the US economy.

This is not directed at you specifically, but to everyone:
The election is over. Please can we wrap up the campaigning? I'm not happy with who won yet I am relieved Hillary lost. I have to live with the results of a legal election even if I would rather not. So do we all, unless we want a revolution. In so many words Hillary Clinton conceded. She admitted she lost. She renounced her claim. She is soon to be forgotten by her own party, which seldom if ever mentions the likes of Michael Dukakis either.

Lets consider how to promote Catholic values. We have been given a brief reprieve from the forces that would happily attack our religious liberty. Lets not squander this brief time continuing on with the Hillary and Trump show. It was an ugly nasty show, way beneath our dignity to participate in. Donald Trump might will need us to push him to do the right thing and not do the wrong thing. But if we are still partisans how much weight do we carry?

There is an aspect of partisanship that may actually be worth it. And that would be the formation of a new party or new parties that represent Catholic values better than the ailing and failing two party monopoly. I'm thinking of the American Solidarity Party and/or whatever Evan McMullen puts together. It's no surprise that we don't fit well in the Democratic Party. It's no surprise that the Republican Party likes our votes so much they keep stringing us on pretending to some day address our values. The Democratic Party is in shambles and the Republican Party is now the Trump Party. It's a good time to consider moving on.

So, lets bury the election, figure out how to hold Trump's feet to the fire, and come up with a political party that fits us as Catholics rather than trying to shoehorn ourselves into parties that don't fit us very well.

Oh, and how could I forget the obvious? Most of us, including me, need to go to confession after an election like this one.
