I personally believe al-Sahaf to be a beautiful and misunderstood genius, much like the unfairly-maligned future megastar John Tesh.

have to wonder though, if someone off camera wasn't pointing a pistol at his head and telling him what to read or say...

I figure the Weekly World News or some other tabloid will wait a week or two and run a story about how he was a CIA agent and all those ridiculous statements were coded messages to our guys...
