Those concerned with such things may want to note that it is not permitted to light a candle or other flame during the Sabbath/Saturday. When two Sabbaths run back to back you can not do the havdalah for the first nor can you do the candle lighting for the second.

However, in this case, since HaBikkurim is NOT a Sabbath, it is perfectly permissible to light a candle AFTER Havdalah/sighting of the first 3 stars Saturday night. Actually a Yahrtzeit candle would be very appropiate. You can usually find these in your grocery in the "kosher" section somewhere near their "ethnic" foods section. They are very inexpensive.

This is also the beginning of the counting of the Omer (as noted by Toney above) - this is the first day of the 50 days of the commanded counting.

Sometimes in untangling one line of thought tangles up the other line. It is like working on a piece of string that got all knotted up...while you are working on one part the other part is getting tangled with the untanglings of the part you are working on. And you don't see it until you have another to untangle.

I appreciate all of your patience and kindness in addressing all these thoughts and Words of the Lord that I am trying to get clear in my own mind and I appreciate everything you have done to help me.

Not necessarily - in Daniel's phrophecy the Statue represented ages of political history - not a literal statue. In revelations days represent years, etc...

I will bow to others better versed in prophecy than I - as these days could be years, or millenia or.... but it seems fairly sure in the context that they are not literal consecutive 24hr days.
