  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No -- I've not heard it (I listen to bluegrass more than country) -- but that sounds like it is no worse than that farce of a song "save a horse, ride the cowboy".

Country music is falling into a deep abyss, from which it may never recover, if songs like those are touted as *country*. :(

I just looked up the video on Launch. I haven't heard it on the radio. I can't make out the lyrics too well, but there was somthing about Tim McGraw in it. I think.
I don't care for it. It takes more than a coybow hat and a steel guitar to turn rap into country.

It's worse that "Save A Horse, Ride a Cowboy."

That's saying something too.

It's a rap music video that tries to thinly diguise itself as country music.

Think of it this way. Ted Nugent is easier listening than that song.

I'm riding the fence on this one...I kinda like Cowboy Troy- wouldn't call his music exactly "country" and certainly wouldn't want all country music to sound like his, but I don't have a problem with it. Classic/traditional country is my alltime favorite type of music, but I don't have a problem with a little variety within the country realm. Now if Alan Jackson or George Strait started rapping or doing "Hick Hop" music- that'd just be wrong! :D

It's just business-givin' the people what they want. If ya like it buy it and if ya don't skip it.

Country music has been around for a long time and goes through it's fads and phases. I remember sometime (when was that--late 80's maybe?) when country music was declared dead and then it was resurrected and had huge growth.

Besides, it ain't really music unless there's a banjo...
