CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ho-Kayyyyy! Am back. Good to be on a christian site. 
I got this site from a friend who mentioned someone here needing prayer. So me, and my curiosity, saddled up and headed on over! Thanks all, for the welcome.
I work at a group home where four gents live (ages 37 to 73), who all have a multiplicity of "dis-abilities", as well as mild mental retardation. One has cerebral palsy, (never walked a day in his life - and can't read or write) / another has Parkinson's plus he is a schizophrenic / the two others have Prader-Willi syndrome (a genetic eating dis-order), and as I said --- all have Mild MR.
I grew up catholic, then got involved in the Jesus movement back in the early 70's. From there, I got involved in a cult for 10 years, got out, and though I have no regrets for the road I travelled, am glad I'm on the road I am now.
From what I have seen so far, this site is a welcome place. Again -- thanks for the friendly "hello's".
