Welcome to Christian Forums, perhaps you’ve been lurking for a while or have been here before and have already figured out a bit - like what all those buttons do on the navigation bar at the top. You require a 100-post-count before your allowed to Private Message. If someome messages you or sends you blessings you can reply however. More on Blessings near the bottom.

Maybe you’re an old-hand at Internet discussion boards, but in case you’re somewhat overwhelmed, now might be a good time to take a peek at the FAQ which will explain a lot (though not all) of the somewhat confusing things in the eye-feast of overwhelming CF thingies.

You probably read the Terms of Service you agreed to when joining, but now might also be a good time to attempt to read through the Rules. I know they’re long and drawn out, may be a bit confusing to sort through, and subject to various interpretations, but it may help make your journey smoother to somewhat familiarize yourself with them. They indicate certain limitations like where and when one can post what (especially “Christian Only” forums in contrast to those “Open” to all members, posting images (after 100 posts), restrictions on some particular forums (by age, gender and such), when and where to post e-mail or other links (after 15 posts), those ever important faith icons (which you’ve already had to choose, and will need assistance to change, if desired), how to chunk up on blessings (sort of our CF currency) for a CF character or pet, ‘armor’, games, quizzes, and such, the Private Message (PM) system that might pop up at any moment, and what some of the pesky abbreviations mean that you’re sure to come across (like OP, OSAS, IMHO, TTYL, DTTBOWTBW (don’t throw the baby out with the bath water)), etc. CF is a huge place and try as we may to be a gentle bunch.

You’ll notice we have an Intro Sticky: http://www.christianforums.com/t1110956-please-read-the-rules-before-posting-thanks.html, that most forums have other ‘Sticky’ introductions that can often be important to read before posting in that forum, and that some of the more popular threads have little numbers beside them (like “Welcome to all new members (4)&#8221 which means they’ve been continued after reaching a 1000 post limit for each thread.

About Blessings:
Blessings are used here to do things like get a character, changing your Signature or Avatar, and getting "armor" Clothing for your character, even a Pet, and to buy the pet food to feed it daily. Blessings are used like money here.
Everytime you post you get a blessing as well. And if you look up at the top you'll see where it says "Jobs"..there are different levels of your amount of Blessings that you choose a "job", you really don't DO anything, but you get to collect a certain amount of blessings each week.You don't automatically get them, you go there and hit the collect button.

Same with the "Bank" you can put blessings in the bank and go once a week to collect interest. Each time you deposit or withdraw blessings the timer gets reset for another week. See the initial S in the green ribbon by my Character..thats my "job". As my amount of posts go up I go and quit the old job and start a new one and collect more blessings every week.

There is a fun area here called Blessing Exchange, where people play different games to earn more blessings in larger amounts.

We are volunteers here and may not always have ready answers, but are filled with patience and kindness and will usually point you in the right direction and are intent on being helpful to your concerns. There are a variety of ways to contact one, and usually it’s best to find one who is currently on-line and ready to help, and one who has some responsibility in the forum where you’re posting.

Perhaps the quickest way to reach one is to left click on our name and then look for their Private Message (PM) link (once you have 100 posts, unless one of us PM’s you then you can reply). Prior to the 100 posts you can post a “Help Needed” message in that forum area and one will message you. I'd like to walk you through getting a character, and an Avatar if you need help.
