The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Been sitting on my shame and embarracement that I gotta say it:
2 weekends ago, for every reason, no reason, good reason, bad reason, dont matter reason, I blew almost 4 yrs of being clean and sober.
please keep me in your prayers.
Recovery is truly one day at a time.
Norm
just bumping this back to the top.
I'm drinking almost daily,ok daily. Not always like on Sunday's I don't because I can't. I've been doing this one or two beers a day thing since end of school, roughly a month now and it's a crutch. makes me feel better before bed and makes me not feel.
i'm thinking this could lead to alcoholism.

Hi I'm Bryan an alcoholic and I've been sober since march 25 2007
Hi, I'm Mandie and I have all the makings of an alcoholic. Well, probably not all. I come from a family with a few alcoholics in our history, and when I have more than two drinks I just want to keep going and going and going. I was an alcoholic in college (no, it isn't just a college thing to drink so very very much as I did). Meeting my husband gave me the reason and support that I needed to change my lifestyle. He was the final step in my search for God.
Once in a while I slip back into my old habits, and on occasion it makes me horribly stupid, mean, and violent. Now I want to stay sober, always. I hope this forum can be somewhere I can come for support when I feel like I want or need a drink!
Thanks for being here everyone.
