The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Congratulations Prairie Gurl.
I see that we are about the same age. It was 2 months for me as of November 10th. But who's counting?
Just got back from my first "Celebrate Recovery" session. I'm lucky enough to live in a city full of raging alcoholics and Christian oriented support groups.
It was great to hear some of the testomonials, and i'll keep ya'll updated on the progress.
Until i get some self control, it's one day at a time.
Not sure if these forums are active anymore, but i stumbled across them.
Anyway, i'm Alex, and yep. I'm an alcoholic and an addict.
Congratulations Prairie Gurl.

Another month past that I've 'survived'...a month that I am grateful is my past.
Looking forward to what lays ahead....and doing it one day at a time.
Wendy
its another month you survived and its another month of experience and strength. Wendy - your one tough ol' gal (well, not that old actually, I'm older but I'm just a kid trapped in a broke down carcass) and there's no doubt in my recovering mind that you will keep getting stronger in your sobriety as each day goes by.
Hello to all, been in kind of a whirlwind lately. Glad to see everyone is doing well! I have rush off to bed. Have to get up at 4am. Love and good wishes to all. Jim
