Hello everyone. This is my first time posting here. I am a 39 yr old homeschooling wife and mother blessed with 4 wonderful children. I have suffered from depression and social anxiety since childhood, and am currently taking medication for the depression. The only people who know about my depression are my husband, sister and mother. My mom and sister live on the other side of the country. I don't have much of a support system.

I received Christ as my Savior four years ago, so I consider myself a baby Christian. I believe my depression is causing me to stumble in my walk with God. I am hoping to find support and encouragement here.

I am glad that you are a christian.But sometimes God puts things in your way, because Hes testing your faith.The reason i said that is because He tests me too. So i have to be strong every day. and you too.I have a 16 year old son, he jumped on a bench at high school 2 days ago and hit the top of his head on the tin roof. He cut a hole in his head. I was totally freaked out. I know what you mean by needing some support. We all do. If you can bear with christian forums for a while till you figure it out, you can find people to relate to. Welcome to the forums! Depression truly can try and take over your life. As a teenager suffering from it, it's put many obstacles in my path but I feel I can conquer over every single one with Christ. I'm truly joyous you've accepted God into your life and pray that he does nothing but heal you!
