Hi, everyone! I'm a freethinker/skeptic who is here in a genuine desire to find answers. I was raised Catholic before going rogue, so to speak. To say I have never looked back would be a misstatement of the truth, but I always seem to end up at the same conclusion, even if the road I took to get there has varied. I'm not so much averse to Christianity, per se. If you took the gospels regarding Jesus' life and cut out everything else (including other segments of the NT), it would likely be a religion I could get behind.
That being said, I try to be open minded about all topics, especially the ones that make me uncomfortable, and recently had a religious discussion with an acquaintance that left me with questions I wanted to get other Christian opinions on. Especially one issue in particular that has lately become intensely politicized at worst, and grossly misunderstood at best. I'm here out of genuine curiosity and a desire to learn; nothing more, nothing less.
With that said, I very much look forward to meeting new and interesting people here, and if my sentences ever appear disjointed, I apologize in advance and blame my ASD. Sometimes words come jumbling out, trip over themselves, and do not do the best job in structurally rearranging themselves.
