Hi Fellow Christians:
I'm so glad to be part of this christian forum. I used to be an agnostic until about 2006 when a friend of mine, who was a christian, died in an accident. I went to his memorial service which was in a church and I had a hard time believing. I made a simple prayer to Jesus for him to simply reveal himself to me if he was real. So... I knocked... and he answered through the holy spirit. The holy spirit very gently and patiently revealed the truth of Jesus to me whenever I took long quiet walks. I was finally baptized last February.
Back in the 90's I majored in music comp at UCSB but never really did anything with my gift of music. Since I became a christian I feel the holy spirit has completely moved me to write and record. I have just released and album with the name THIS OLD TENT titled LIGHT. The music is for Christians first but also for non believers. Every song is Christ centered but written in a very honest, gentle way...much like the holy spirit spoke to me when I was being converted. It is not in your face christian worship music. The holy spirit has moved me to write music for the family of Christ but not to exclude non-believers. As Jesus said in Math 9:12, Mark 2:17, and Luke 5:31 when his disciples were asked why Jesus would meet and eat with sinners...he said: "those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."
As Jesus made himself a servant to all, I too have strived to make music for all.
I look forward to sharing this music with my brothers and sisters in christ but also make it accessible and listenable for non believers, so they too can see the goodness of our Lord Jesus. It will be my pleasure to interact with everyone on this forum and get to know you all.
