  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am new here and wated to introduce myself. I believe in God, and I believe that Jesus was the only son of God, but I don't believe the Bible is God's Holy word. It was written by men that had very strong opinions about God but that doesn"t make them anymore right about God than it makes you or I.

We are what we eat and Jesus himself said "we can't live on bread alone". Well I should add I think Jesus said that because Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John said he said that. But I should add that I think Matthew , Mark, Luke, and John said that he said that. I should point out that none of those men spoke english and if they were the author it was written many years after Jesus's death. Men have been fighting about the bible since well before the canon of the bible was complete. The debate of the bible has caused a few wars, a few black eyes in history, and around 2500 different religions and demoninations. The debate continues to this day over what the bible really says.

Hello all including that Green Eyed Girl, I am new too; first posting here. The Bible is the Word of God & the KJV is thee version which does express the Word in its purity. One of my favorite verse's is Proverbs 25:2 "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; but it is the wisdom of kings to search out a matter." take care all, Obediah001
