• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Childhood memories:

What were your favorite toy(s) growing up?

What were your favorite cartoon(s)?

What was you favorite book(s)?

What was your favorite subject(s) in school?
Childhood toys were Lego, definitely. Particularly pirate lego. Also my formiddable dinosaur collection :)

Saturday morning disney cartoons were always a favorite... Duck Tales, Gummi Bears etc. And Bugs Bunny.

My favorite book ever is a book called Empyrion by Stephen Lawhead. Absolutely awesome Sci-Fi.

History has always been my favorite subject, although I've always done fairly well at English.

What is your favorite song when you were in grade school?
Grade School... is that what we would call primary school (the first 6 years of education?). Probably would have to be something by Steve Grace, an Australian Christian muso.

What a great lot of questions!!

Do you trust a lot of people?

Yes, and no. I think many people are trustworthy when it comes to keeping information/personal issues. But I think a lot of people's judgement can be lacking when knowing how to deal with those issues.

Are you forgiving?

Quite!

What's going on tomorrow?

Similar to what's been going on today. A mixture of work, relaxation, and random internet surfing :)

Are you in a good mood?

Life's great for me right now. About as good as its been in a long time!!

What was the last thing you laughed at?

Probably something I shouldn't have. I have a somewhat wicked and random sense of humour. :D

Do you tend to get lost driving?

Nope. I don't actually drive much these days anyway, since I moved into the city.

Do you have a mental illness of choice (if you had to have one)?

Don't really get this question. I've been close to depression a few times, and dealt with it, so if I had one, that would be it.

What is the last thing you said aloud?

Thanks Pete (to someone who helped me out with my computer)

Outside your family, who is the one person you would be stranded on an island with?

At the moment, one of the other tutors from college. Anyone I can have a good philosophical conversation with.

What pictures do you have around you right now?

Poster of the characters from the Simpsons, and a world map.

What is a good random quote you know?

Give a man a fire, he be warm for a night. Light a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life (there's that sense of humour ;))

What is something you fear that's completely random?
And you're afraid of that because?

That I've forgotten to lock my car door on the times that I've driven somewhere. Mainly because I knopw I am going to do it one day, and that will be the day the car gets stolen.

Are you mad at someone right now?

No

Do you wear contacts?

No

Do you like thunderstorms?

Love 'em. Except for when I want to do something on a computer in the middle of a thunderstorm and don't have a surge protector.

Do you believe in the 5 second rule?

You mean the 10 second rule?

What is the most stupid thing you have done?

I managed to cut my finger wearing athletic spikes in a hurdles race...

What are your current feelings about your first true love?

Wishing them all the very best.

What is your weapon of choice?

Paper. Paper cuts can be very nasty.

Would you rather improve something or appreciate it the way it is?

If it can truly be improved by my improvements, its a duty to grow it. If my improvements were just personal taste, I'd let it be :)
