Hey! I don't think I introduced myself yet. What's up? How are you doing?
My name's Mike, and PTL is not Praise the Lord. It's Post Tenebras Lux. Out of Darkness, Light. A slogan from the Reformation.
I'm an eccentric Floridian, like a lot of people down here are... but I'm not even from here, like a lot of people down here are
I'm a Christian, not an agnostic (for example), but it's hard to categorize things sometimes. I was baptized and raised Roman Catholic (Latin Rite... yes, these little distinctions are important to me), was involved long and well in both Pentecostal and Presbyterian churches, considered and am still considering to possibly become a Trappist, Franciscan, or Jesuit monk (certainly not Dominican), and I'm a walking contradiction.
My avatar depicts (or supposedly depicts) Paracelsus. My all-time hero of the human race. A doctor and / or charlatan... who knows? He was very many things, and their complete opposite. In a word: he was human. That's what I like.
I'm on here because I wanna talk to Christians, or non-Christians, but to have a somewhat substantial conversation. Hard to find in a bar or a strip club.
Anyway... Hello! Hope you're all doing well. Looking forward to some interesting talk.
Peace,
Mike
