It would help if you took the time to find out what the Bible actually teaches rather than depend on a few prooftexts selectively chosen by whoever put that study together. I'm sure you won''t find 1 Tim 4:11 in that list.NeverADullMoment said:ALL men are not saved. ALL men must make a choice whether they will accept the gift or not. ALL men must make the choice to whether or not to pick up their cross and follow Him.
Jesus died for ALL men, but not ALL men recognize the ultimate sacrifice or even believe it.
Maybe God is trying to get to you so you can get that aspect of your being under control.honorthesabbath said:Hi Honeydew--well--I 'm sorry if you can't see "it". Perhaps someday you may. But there are a few in here that absolutely REJECT ALL of our Adventist beliefs and yet they still insist that they are Seventh-Day Adventists. It's very annoying to continually have to put up with their nonsense. I DO try to keep quiet about it--but sometimes it's gets on my last nerve.
You know something? Jonah asked almost the identical question. God had no problem answering him then; He will have no problem answering you now.honorthesabbath said:Amen Never--after all then--who are the "wicked" that are going to "PERISH"???

Jonah, that harbinger of doom for Nineveh, was so mad that God repented of his plan to destroy the sinning folk, that he wished he were dead. He HATED that sinners repented, were forgiven and were able to change the prophecy that after 40 days they would be destroyed.
I know this is a quite zone so I will only snicker, instead of the belly laugh I am tempted to belt out.honorthesabbath said:AAAAmen Honey--didn't we study that very thing this past year in Sabbath School?? Yep--I think so!!!! But then a REAL SDA would have known that!!
It is the fact that she completely missed the point, since you asked.PaleHorse said:It is the accuracy of her statement that bothers you - let's be honest.

Sometimes I get so caught up in the forum (actually I am drawing from my experiences with other forums) that I miss some integral point that another person is making. Missing such a point can mean the difference between civility, (and even actually liking that person) and chronic constant tension.

Put what study together statrei? The BIBLE tells us that not all men will go to heaven.
1 Tim 4:11 doesn't say anything even close to all men going to heaven.
The Bible even tells us that people thinking they're going to heaven are going to be sorely disappointed when Christ returns.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I'm not sure what Bible you're reading Statrei, but it's certainly not the one I have.
Do we always have to demonstrate to the world what the contours of stupidity are? This is getting ridiculous.NeverADullMoment said:Oh wait, I forgot, you don't study the Bible. Nevermind.
