CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do I qualify as a Nazarene? You name the branch of the Evangelical Church and I likely have attended it at sometime or other. I happen to be a gypsy by nature and have lived in 5 different provinces over the last 67 years. Some of them two or three times. Some places there were Church of the Nazarene congregations and some places not.
I was saved in the Nazarene Church as a teenager. I attended Canadian Nazarene College in both Red Deer, Alberta and Winnipeg, Manitoba. I married a Newfie (who has been my friend and favourite wife for the last 47 years) she was saved in the Old St. Clair Church of the Nazarene in Toronto. We were members of the Church of the Nazarene at one time and I held a student minister's license with the church of the Nazarene at one point. We usually attend Cedar Dale Bible Camp each summer. Does that make me a Nazarene? Perhaps.
I have kind of grown fond of Nazarenes through the years. They are great folks to be associated with.

We started going to a nazarene church about 4-5 mos ago..we love it!! welcome to wesleys parish..come visit the ASA thread.
