You got a point. Friend of mine put up a seriously good post and it was run off the bottom of the list before maybe one or two got a chance to see it.

Perhaps people are just too lazy to respond? The view-count for recent threads is around 100-200. Unless these numbers are somehow not reliable...

It was not a busy time of day, early morning, if I remember right, and it was visible maybe a half hour max. That time, Mitchie hadn't posted as many all at once, so it wasn't so bad, but still.... just sayin'

I don't know how the view count is conducted or if that's an average or what, but I bet there are some that very few ever see, and the featured ones, of course, get seen by a lot of people.

I don't think it's an average since it's specified for each thread, here for "Christian Scriptures" for example:

All the threads within the last 7 days got 100+ calling ups. But I agree with you in general that there is a lack of activity here.

You’re right. None of your business and I know the intent but-

I’m sorta shocked to hear from you Charlie. Last post you made you said you’d never return. But I’m glad to see you. Hope all has been well with you. I do art and antiques. I thought you knew that. Right now, I’m working with a gallery. I’ve not been working out of the home base of my business due to Covid. I’m not essential these days. I hope this helps.

From bits and pieces I've read on the forum I think she's American, a lady in her forties, with a family, and I think a journalist by trade, hence her frequent posts, which quite often are links to other articles. I believe she moved address not so long ago, and she isn't looking forward to getting her jab, since she doesn't like needles.

And she has a sense of humour, so she's not a bot!!

As someone who sometimes posts on this and a few other selected forums, I'm not always interested in the topic. If there's been a million posts already on a topic, I'm not likely to add a millionth plus one.

If Michie wasn't here, the Catholic sub-forum would be very quiet.

It has been a hard year. I have lost quite a few family and friends to Covid. All we can do is keep on doing our best, but it is sad for those of us left.
