  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello:)

I'll be turning 32 later this month. I do think that our generation has a lot of unique qualities.

What do you think is your favourite thing about being in your 30's? For me I think it is being finished with college and sort of settled into my career and life direction. And, we're still young enough to be very irresponsible and adventurous, haha :)

Hey, I was a teen in the 60's, and thought we were the coolest.

First came cool, then far out, right on, heavy duty, those 4 often followed with "Man", then bad (meaning good) proper, and that's where I started losing track but know there's more..

Anyway, welcome to 30, been there myself....twice. :)

Lol landon. Yeh. We are the age of pokemon cards (I am seven short from having the original 150!!!!) we are the age of nintend0 64 which is the best system ever!

But my favorite thing for me is Ive been able to step up and be this generation of leader now. Im still awkward looking for adultier adults but the kids I can teach and people who look up to me now...Im more of a servant now then ever at 30. Jesus started his ministry at what, 32? This is our prime and life and it is our turn to be thr movers and shakers of the world.

And yes I finally feel more settled down and everything. My husband and I have been married a year and 5 months. Just loving it.

I agree with you. I think this is the perfect time of life to apply some of the wisdom and experience we have learned. I think we have more opportunities in our age bracket to make a real difference in society. I used to dread turning 30, but I actually really enjoy this age. I've learned a lot over the last ten years, and I've become far more content with life. I've also found that I'm under less pressure to achieve certain goals by a specific time. My thirtieth birthday came and went and I survived even though I hadn't achieved all that I had hoped to by 30. Now, I'm enjoying the simple pleasures of life more

The older we get, usually the more secure we become with ourselves, and just that ingredient can make life better.
Agreed. I think that insecurity and doubt rob us of much joy and contentment in this life. I also think that failure enables us to let go and be freer. It was my experience anyway.

Agree, and my comment was based on your post that might as well have said what I did. It absolutely does rob us, but it seems it has to be that way with some of us, maybe all? IDK. I still remain insecure in some ways, and some never pull out of it in many ways.

You substantiated what I've pondered when looking back in time, that at around 30, and I suppose it varies person to person, is when I started figuring things out and began realizing I was becoming more secure and what a huge difference it had made. Makes life more comfortable/easier to live with. And the process will continue... never seems to cease altogether.

I'd say both success and failure enable the freedom you mention..an integral part of the process.

I'm going to be 30 on July 30 but since I am so close to being 30 I hurried over here and decided to post anyway.

I grew up with the Nintendo 64, it was the console of my generation and I have many wonderful memories playing my favorite games on it.

And even though I am an adult now, I still do play video games from time to time. My favorite of all time is Pokemon, I'm a very talented trainer.

I remember YOU. Last time I read your posts you were single and doing something that some of us thought was questionable. And since then it seems like you've blessed with marriage while I've been taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Woohoo for felonies.
