I am new to this site, recently I have started to try to walk with god,this is not my first time, the first time I tried i failed miserably. I fell in to abominable sin, I went against the father and his kingdom. I feel really sorry that I did, I kindly ask that you would pray for me, also if there is anyone on here who could give me guidance i would be very grateful. Thank you

There is a long tradition of receiving spiritual guidance from elders in the faith, but one thing I have to caution you - you have to be very careful who you allow to do that for you. Anyone who quickly WANTS to be a spiritual father without being placed in a pastoral position where it is his natural responsibility - may well be offering for the wrong reasons. But it is very true there have been many over the centuries who end up being sought out for their help. Just be careful.

You have my prayers though.

There are many books and writings you might appreciate, depending on exactly what your situation is. I'm gathering that maybe overcoming sin and temptation may be the issue, so that's why I mention. It has been a major focus of writings from the earliest times of Christianity. But again, they need to be understood. The principles are excellent but the degree of strictness of application is not for all people, and one must at the same time guard against pride on one hand and despair on the other.

You have my prayers. God be with you! And again, welcome to CF. I hope it will prove edifying and beneficial for you.
