  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just reminding all those who haven't voted yet to do so Tuesday. If you are NOT in love with either Presidential candidate, still vote. There will be elections for Congress, possibly U.S. Senate, and state offices. Your vote has more clout in those state and local elections than in the Presidential election, plus those elected officials have a greater impact on your daily lives than the person in the White House does. So vote, vote, vote (sorry, voting three times only applies to residents of Chicago and Philadelphia).

I will vote tomorrow.

I cannot in good conscience vote for either Trump or Clinton, so I am voting third party this election.
I considered that before deciding that there was really no point in voting third party. However, my younger sister did vote third party.

Sorry, but I am not falling for that 'wasted vote' or 'voting for the lesser of two evils' rhetoric. I am voting my conscience.

I did not say you were not or could not I was simply stating that I, personally, considered that and ended up choosing to vote for a major party.

Third party votes are some of the strongest, IMO.

If you care at all about cartoons or cartoonists there's only one possible way to vote this election.

By the way, Gary Trudeau has come out with a new book.

Have anyone else seen this?

South Carolina exit poll asks whether 'blacks are getting too demanding' over equal rights

And before someone tries to pull Snopes into this, save your strength, because it is true.

Snopes: Did a South Carolina exit poll feature questions many voters found racially offensive?

Will someone please remind me what year this is again? And is this Trump's idea of making America great again?

From a liberal polling group of PhDs at Clemson. Not surprising. That's how many liberals think.

Nice deflection. I am a liberal and I most definitely do not think like that. And no liberal I know thinks like that either.

You prove my point, which was that is how many liberals think of conservatives.

Some times the truth hurts. It only gets worse because many of them went to church every Sunday.

It's a bigoted belief held by many liberals. Republicans have always supported equal rights. It was southern democrats who supported Jim Crow laws and other legal methods of discrimination.
