There seem to be many people who claim sexual orientation is a choice, so I'd like to ask all of the heterosexual people:

Did you have a choice to be straight?

Did you ever, at any stage in your lives, have the option of choosing to be either homosexual or heterosexual, and then decided to choose to be heterosexual?

When did you first make that choice?

If you didn't "choose", at what age did you first know you were straight?

Did you have a choice to be straight? Yes

Did you ever, at any stage in your lives, have the option of choosing to be either homosexual or heterosexual, and then decided to choose to be heterosexual? I don't believe its a choice. I believe people are either gay or straight. Its not something they choose (unless they choose to live a lie).

When did you first make that choice? Again I have always been heterosexual.

If you didn't "choose", at what age did you first know you were straight? No idea really. Just always been attracted to men I guess.

Did you have a choice to be straight?
Nope, heck even my feminine side liked girls.

no, our orientation is handed to us at birth along with our eye color and being left or right handed.

When did you first make that choice?
didn't.

If you didn't "choose", at what age did you first know you were straight?
About the first time I noticed girls weren't just soft boys.

First off: Welcome to CF LizzieSpinelli!
Glad You found our little corner of the web!

I'm heterosexual
OK.
because that's how me and the rest of humanity was created to be,
Well, that's your opinion and it's your right to believe it, just as it's others right to not.
and I believe that homosexuality (a sexual perversion as stated in the bible) is wrong and that anyone can choose to stray from that just like any other sin
Well there's some debate that the Bible teaches that but again, it's your right to believe that, all anyone here would ask is that you be honest with any questions you have and remember there are people who hold different views and they are also committed Christians.
tulc(again welcome to CF sis!)

No, and I don't think that homosexuals choose to be gay either, its a subconscious thing. I liken it to taste in food. I don't like tomatoes, however I really wish that I did because they are in nearly everything, but every time I've tried, same result
And I didn't really perceive sexual orientation until I started to hit puberty, at least I don't recall any type of sexual attraction at all until then.

No choice. God made me female and to have a husband.

There is no age of "knowing" such things. There is an identity period at puberty, but that is normal for heterosexuals and does not involve making any choice.

It is inherent to be heterosexual. Those who "choose" have obviously at-odds identity issues that are psychiatric and spiritual in nature.

Lol. So you just ignore the "rest of humanity" that isn't straight. How convenient for you. Kind of like sticking your fingers in your ears and saying "blah blah blah" so you can pretend you don't hear something.

Who says she ignores them? It's kind of hard to do what with all the screaming about rights and rainbows and such...

It's not inherent in me to be heterosexual. Not everyone is the same.

Sure it is. You were born hetero, but somewhere you picked up the idea---maybe subconsciously, but I assure you it was planted.
