Good day, everyone.
I am The Unworthy Prodigal (real name Nathan). I am a God-fearing, Bible-believing Christian who believes that Scripture is the final authority in all things. Fair warning: I lean heavily toward Calvinistic/Reformed theology.
I find it is often helpful when engaging with other Christians to know what Bible teachers and scholars they admire, so I will get this out of the way now. I do not post this to be divisive, but to let you know where I stand so there aren't any surprises.
I have been heavily influenced by the teachings of John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, Steve Lawson, R.C. Sproul, Paul Washer, Alistair Begg, and Todd Friel (if you know, you know).
I absolutely love theology and reject the idea that it isn't important. As R.C. Sproul said: "Everyone is a theologian." Some just don't have a robust (or accurate) theology of the Lord.
To be completely honest, I was very hesitant to join the forums here as I've found that most of the perceived persecution I've experienced has come from other professing Christians. Part of that is certainly due to my own sinful pride or way of communicating, but I've also found that Christians have a hard time disagreeing amicably.
So if we happen to disagree on a topic, please be gentle with me and I will try to be the same.
